About the adventure
For generations, the Crown of Unending Stars has kept the world stable. It is more than a symbol of rule. The Crown enforces ancient order, keeps divine forces distant, and makes magic predictable. Because of it, disasters are rare and the world endures. Then a star falls from the sky. The impact is not devastating, but it is impossible to ignore. Soon after, the Crown behaves differently. For the first time in living memory, it hesitates. Fearing unknown consequences, the king chooses not to wear it. Will he set the Crown aside? That single decision changes everything. Without the Crown actively stabilizing the world, small failures begin to appear. Sacred rites no longer work as they always have. Old wards weaken. Sealed places strain. Political authority remains, but only because people pretend it has not changed. The heroes are not chosen by prophecy or power. They are witnesses. They were present when the star fell. Because of that, they are drawn into the growing crisis. As the campaign continues, the players confront ancient systems built to contain dangerous forces. They uncover past compromises and hard choices made to preserve order. Every problem can be delayed, but none can be solved without cost. This campaign is about pressure on authority, the quiet failure of systems, and the danger of choosing caution when certainty is expected. The Crown no longer holds the world together. What happens next is up to you.

About me
I have been playing and running TTRPG's for more than 35 years. I have plenty of materials to run 5e and Savage Worlds adventures and campaigns. My focus on game design is to outline the general adventure while designing specifics of the adventure around character actions and decisions on a week-to-week basis. This way every game session is designed around the parties' interests. I play nearly exclusively using Fantasy Grounds Unity and Discord.

Preparing for the session
You will need to download and install fantasy grounds unity as this is the VTT that I use. As well as Discord for communication.
What Dedic brings to the table
I have a prewritten general plot point I have written; however, I will be designing each adventure as they happen. This way each choice has meaning and consequence. I use the Rule of Cool, as well as a making sure encounters make sense and are paced to the game session so that the game feels alive and fun to play in.
Homebrew rules
I use minimal homebrew rules, though I reserve the right to adjust that to fit the campaign.

How Dedic creates a safe table
I use the HALT extension which acts like an X,N,&O which will inform everyone anonymously that a boundary is getting close to being crossed or if there is a hard boundary that has already been crossed. During session 0 we will go over everything that I expect in the game and set clear boundaries for players. In the context warnings is a list of things that could happen, rarely will you see all of it, and I may have missed something. Just know that I will never put the safety of the players at risk. My primary goal is for all of us to have fun.
