About the adventure
You have been dreaming with this weird place, is calling for you, an old man in the center of a ritual circle, he knows your name, he knows you and is waiting for you. You have seen the entrance before, in the tavern next to your home, people is always betting for adventures to die. How much lower they can get? How many monster they will kill? How many times the Mad Mage will play with their minds? Maybe is the time for the bets to be on you... This campaing module (Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage) is a dungeon scrawl focus on the story behind the Mad Mage. It'll have mystery, A LOT of combat and some roleplaying so are you ready to enter Undermountain? We start at level 5 and its possible to us to get up to level 20, its a long campaing (I didn't finish before so I cannot tell you how long could it take) and we'll play on D&D 2024, if you didn't play it before come to give it a try! I'm Facundo, I'm 21 years old, I'm from Argentina and I've been playing D&D for two years as a DM. I love acting and making stories, D&D arrived to my life to be a safe place where I merged both things and just cover it up with my love for videogames and tabletops games đź‘» I love to put so much work in each of my games, even in oficial modules I try to make an unique twist. Creating your character
We are going to start the character creation by texting or I recommend my players to do a session 0 so you can bring a lot of possible ideas! I will drop you some lore and key features about the World, so you can try a character related to some church or God. If you want, you can make your character sheet and send it to me to upload it to Fantasy Grounds, else, you can directly make it in the program when I drop the password for the session.
We're playing in Forgotten Realms with an Aasimar Ranger who grew up without parents at the Underdark and it's running from someone or something; a Dragonborn Fighter who wants to prove his value; & an Elf Sourcerer who is looking to get some gold without getting her hands dirty. They went down to Undermountain searching for gold and magic items, the Dragonborn is building friendship with a lot of creatures; the Aasimar is taking even the toilets in exchange for gold; and the Elf is beign carried around by this two. They are at the 5th level of this mega-dungeon. The characters are level 7 right now.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You need to make an account in Fantasy Grounds and download the Fantasy Grounds VTT (when the installer ask for a key, you just press on continue). You will need a Discord account and join my server too. Both accounts are free, you don't need to buy any Fantasy Grounds book!
What Facundo brings to the table
I try (awful) character voices, sometimes I start repeting but I try my best to give every NPC a good and unique personality! I play some ambience music! I'm trying to implement sounds too. I like a difficult combat with a bit of roleplaying, I'm not tactic and don't put so much attention on covers and stuff like that, but if you do, you will get inspiration! I love to drop lore and put your backstories in play, so try something maybe just one line backstory but with a little bit of flavour. Usually I put a lot of custom lore, so be caution and put attention to NPCs. Love when players try crazy plans or very cool attacks.
Homebrew rules
I have some few homebrew rules related to inspiration and we'll talk about them by chat or in a session 0 if everyones choice to run a free one before start! Beasides that, the usual ones: Drinking healing potion as bonus action, etc.

How Facundo creates a safe table
I will send you to complete the Game Expectation Sheet form DMG 2024 to get to know about your triggers, phobias and expectations at the time of playing. We are going to do a Session 0 where all we can present ourselfs to everybody, be ready to say bye bye to shyness. At the end of every session I set the tone and a hook for next session and invite you to talk a few minutes about the things you enjoyed and the ones you don't, I'm open to the critics! We're here to play and be happy!
