About the adventure
The USCSS Fidanza is an aging starfreighter on what should be its final, routine run: resupply a remote mining station on a frozen moon, pick up a valuable cargo, and head back to Earth for decommissioning. You awaken from hypersleep groggy but hopeful—this job could mean a permanent contract with Weyland-Yutani. Instead, you find static on the comms, locked system access, and a growing sense that something is very wrong. This is a cinematic, tension-driven survival horror game set in the Alien universe. The focus is on atmosphere, investigation, and character-driven decision-making rather than constant combat. Expect slow-burn dread, moments of sudden panic, and the kind of hard choices where survival often comes at a cost. Violence is dangerous, consequences matter, and sometimes the smartest move is to run—or hide. My GM style prioritizes player agency and roleplay. You’ll be encouraged to talk things through in character, explore the ship at your own pace, and decide how you respond to the unknown. While the scenario has a clear structure, the story is shaped by your choices, not a script. I use immersive audio, lighting, and visual effects to enhance tension, but the heart of the game is always the players and their characters. This game is ideal for players who enjoy narrative-heavy play, suspenseful exploration, and collaborative storytelling. New players are welcome—rules will be explained as we go—but a willingness to lean into the tone and engage with the fiction is key. If you enjoy Alien, Aliens, or sci-fi horror where the environment itself feels hostile, you’ll feel right at home aboard the Fidanza.

About me
I am relatively new to the TTRPG Community but have been a fan for years. I started playing in 2025 after finding a great community and then decided to jump into the GM seat. My first run of Alien RPG was a challenge and made me anxious but once I started I felt so comfortable and got some really good feedback from the players, especially as there were 2 regular GM's playing with over 60 years experience between them. I have studied different systems from the ever present D20, Year-Zero, Genesys, COC and many more I am currently writing a campaign set in the Resident Evil universe using the Genesys system with fully customised and interactive maps. If anyone would like to give this new GM a try I am willing to GM for free

How Dave creates a safe table
Player comfort and safety are a priority at my table, especially in horror-focused games like Alien RPG. Before play begins, I make sure everyone knows that their boundaries will be respected and that they are always in control of their experience. I use Lines & Veils to establish content boundaries, and I will share a simple document before the game (or cover it at the start if it’s a one-shot). We’ll briefly go over expectations during Session 0 or the game intro, including tone, themes, and any content players would prefer to avoid or keep off-screen. During play, I use digital safety tools: An X-card equivalent (via chat or private message) that players can use at any time, no explanation required N & O signals handled verbally or through chat, depending on player preference Players are always welcome to step away, pause the game, or message me privately if something doesn’t feel right After intense scenes, I make space for aftercare, whether that’s a short decompression chat, checking in with players, or shifting tone before ending the session. Feedback is always welcome, and I’m happy to adjust pacing, intensity, or content to ensure everyone feels safe and respected. The goal is to create a tense, immersive experience without ever making a player uncomfortable. Horror should be thrilling—not stressful in a bad way.
