About the adventure

“You’re going to Grimwich? Are you insane?” That’s what they all say. They say the skies above the island don’t behave. That lightning crawls sideways through the clouds. That ships vanish in clear water. That sometimes, during the storms, the ocean glows like something beneath it is trying to wake up. They say people go there to start over. They say people don’t always leave. Grimwich sits alone off the coast — a lonely town wrapped in mist and rumor. The docks creak even when there’s no wind. The locals smile just a little too long. And when the magical storms roll in, the whole island hums like a struck bell. Strange disappearances. Stranger survivors. And a feeling — constant, quiet — that you are being studied. So why are you going? Are you chasing coin? Running from your past? Hunting answers no one else would dare seek? Whatever your reason, one truth becomes clear the moment your ship cuts through the fog: You should be asking how to leave. This campaign is a mystery wrapped in salt air and stormlight. You’ll unravel secrets buried beneath the island’s foundations, question people who may know more than they should, and survive magical phenomena that bend the rules of reality itself. Grimwich isn’t just dangerous because of what’s out there in the storms… It’s dangerous because of what’s already inside the town. ⚡ Can you uncover the truth before the island claims you? 🌫️ Can you solve the great mystery of Grimwich… before you become part of it? The storm is rolling in. And the harbor is already behind you.

About me

Well, look who rolled initiative....... My name is Josh I’ve been playing and GMing for a long time, and I genuinely love the game. I’m always thinking about D&D. Coming up with new mechanics, new stories, and new ways to make sessions feel fresh while still respecting the source material. I lean heavily into roleplay and improvisation, because I think the best moments at the table are the ones you don’t plan for. I love building immersive worlds and stories that really pull players in. If you want to play something a little strange or unexpected—like a Grung cowboy one session and a veteran from a forgotten war from another time the next—I’m happy to find a way to make it work if it serves the story. I enjoy playing with both new and experienced players. I’m always happy to help newcomers learn the game, and I love digging into backstories with players who want deep lore, personal stakes, and characters that feel real. At the end of the day, I just want everyone at the table to feel invested, comfortable, and excited to see what happens

Character creation

Creating your character

Motivations of Fear Infection - you have been infected by a mysterious creature you need to find a cure you've seen what it does to people your only clue a location Grimwich Debt threat -your father or mother owe a lot of money to some very bad people and after their death your left with the debt however they offer you an opportunity to remove it completely just pick up a package from a little place called Grimwich seems easy enough Motivations of Honor Family member died mysteriously- they died you don't know how but you know the explanation given is wrong they wouldn't do that. And you think you can prove it. There is so little info but you know one thing it happened in Grimwich Wrongdoing in Grimwich but no one can prove it - people disappearing. Strange magical phenomena, possible crime. But you can’t seem to prove it no one believes you if you could just get enough evidence you could prove yourself Motivation of Greed Magical paranormal phenomenons- Magical storms. Sightings of ancient magic possibly the source for wild Magic. If you can get your hands on what makes this place so unique you would be the greatest caster in the world or….. The richest

Safety

How Oshu creates a safe table

X Card (Red): Used when content crosses a boundary (a Line) or causes significant discomfort; the scene stops, and the GM changes direction immediately. N Card (Yellow/Near): Signals that the current content is approaching a Line or Veil, asking the GM to slow down or shift focus, but the scene continues for now. O Card (Green/Okay): Used to confirm the player is comfortable and okay with the ongoing content, often signaling a positive check-in or a desire for more of that scene. message me on discord or startplaying games you will be sent a questionaire asking what you are and are not comfortable in the campagin which sets the tone. This is a safe space please never feel embarrresed or scared to come to me with concerns on the story, on players, or even me.
