About the adventure
The city of Elturel has been dragged into hell but Baldur's Gate, and it's citizens, have their own problems. With an influx of refugees from Elturel, the city is under lockdown and the Flaming Fist are busy dealing with the chaos. Trapped inside, a friend of yours, a Captain of the Fist has been murdered. As dark forces stir inside Baldur's Gate, you gather at his funeral to celebrate the memory of a good man. Descent into Avernus follows your journey through Baldur's Gate and eventually into the first layer of the Nine Hells, Avernus, to save your city from sharing Elturel's fate. Uncover the truth of Elturel's demise, fight or deal with devils, and find a way to save Baldur's Gate. This campaign will connect directly to Vecna: Eve of Ruin! Taking you from roughly level 13 all the way to 20 as you uncover the Arch Lich's far stretching plot to unmake all of existence, a plot that started, in the fires of Avernus. Your choices in hell will directly effect your chances of stopping the Whispered Ones master plan before its too late.

About me
Hey there! My names Jordan, I'm a lover of tabletop roleplaying games both in person and online. I've been DMing for just on a decade now and love every little bit of it. I try to bring a fun and goofy environment with plenty of room for serious when the mood calls for it. I love to take a players backstory and twist the story to accommodate and intertwine the two. Nothing I enjoy more than a player getting to be surprised and excited about stuff they came up with getting involved with the entire group and the parties plans. You're welcome to join the discord for the games and chat with myself or current players if you have any questions! <linktemporarilyremoved>

Creating your character
Starting level is 3. For stats, players can either roll, point buy, or take the standard array. All official D&D content, minus Autognomes, is on the table, as well as the Blood Hunter homebrew material.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A microphone and discord account are the only requirements. Players will make characters individually but I am happy to work with players 1 on 1 to assist them with the process. We'll be making characters in D&D Beyond and using the Beyond20 plugin for playing them in Roll20. Links and instructions for downloading are included in the game discord.
What Mr Jordan brings to the table
I have battlemaps for every combat encounter of the campaign as well as utilize sync-tube for ambient and combat music throughout the game. I have a number of small homebrew rules I run games with for ease of play.

Players will receive a private message from me to discuss any no go content that they wish to disclose ahead of time to not be included in the game. Almost anything can be easily written out or around with no issue. Players are also encouraged to say something in the moment if a not previously discussed issue appears, we can work around the issue.
