About the adventure

Cerilia is a land shaped by divine blood and ancient wars. Kings rise and fall, realms fracture, and dark powers gather at the edges of civilization. You are not wandering adventurers—you are regents, heirs to divine power, whose actions ripple across entire nations. This campaign blends: - Heroic, high fantasy with grueling dark fantasy, and story-driven 5e adventures - Challenging tactical combat and formidable bosses - Political intrigue and courtly drama - Unique Sanctioned PVP system - Domain and kingdom management - Mass battles and military campaigns - Ancient bloodlines and evil awnshegh threats Adventures take place at two interconnected scales: Heroic Scale – dungeon delves, investigations, diplomacy, and epic combat (Bonus) Domain Scale – ruling provinces, managing resources, building improvements, commanding armies, and waging war Your decisions matter. Warlords rise. Cities burn. Alliances fracture. Kingdoms fall. And victories bring consequences.

About me

I have been a Dungeon Master for Dungeons & Dragons (all editions after the Whitebox) for over 35 years. I love this game. As a former actor (many, many years ago) I relish the storytelling, heroic fantasy, and kingdom warfare. Most of all, I always work to make an enjoyable game for all at the table by defining the type of characters, adventures, and stories we want to make. It's not just my game; it's not just your game; it's our game. Come join me. Tell your story, make our stories epic, battles legendary, and our adventures fun!

Character creation

Creating your character

Allowed Material - Official 2024 5e content, other content requests as authorized by DM - Select homebrew provided by the GM (balanced and documented) - Custom Birthright rules (provided in our Discord server) Party Structure: 4–8 Player Characters Each PC tied to: - A bloodline - A noble house, domain role, or faction interest

The current party

My adventures are custom made for 4-7 players. Your adventurer can be any of the allowed classes but I do recommend that two players not play the same base class - to allow each of you to shine in your glory.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

This game will be held on Foundry VTT with Discord, and you need a well-functioning desktop or laptop with a good internet connection to play. You will be given a link to join each session.

What Villagelder brings to the table

As a former performer and a Dungeon Master for over 35 years, you will get quality interactive games. Games will feature combat, exploration, story, and a narrator invested in the NPCs and story. I do voices, use onscreen graphics, traversable maps, some animated tokens, automated digital interactions, background music, and more to make a professional 2.5 hour+ production.

Homebrew rules

Any custom rules will be covered in the player handout given at the beginning of the campaign in our Discord. As the DM crafts more content, they will be disseminated to players for use between sessions.

Safety

How Villagelder creates a safe table

I run a safe and accepting game for all players. In session 0, I review, and I will ask for, any trigger topics but I generally run a game that lies somewhere between PG-13 and R rated.
