About the adventure

Fight against invaders while building up a kingdom strong enough to hold the Stolen Lands. What kind of kingdom will it be? Who lives there? Who are its allies? Who's in charge? Only you can answer these questions. Session 0 and your first session of regular play are free. Who are the heroes? The so-called "monsters" that live in the Stolen Lands are the protagonists of this story: kobolds, goblins, trolls, lizardfolk, fae and more. What is the setting? Golarion's Stolen Lands are a lawless patchwork of monstrous hunting grounds, bandit turf, trackless wilderness and crumbling old castles. They have been conquered, lost, reconquered and lost again so many times that no one remembers who they rightfully belong to. What might we do in this game? 🪦delve into long-forgotten tombs and crumbling castles in search of power and treasure to feed your growing nation ⚔️forge a nation out of a shaky alliance between monstrous factions 🪄overcome an ancient and deadly curse ⭐battle against iconic Pathfinder hero characters, such as Amiri the barbarian 🪙dive into the minutiae of kingdom management (or leave the simulation behind and focus on the action)

About me

Hello! I'm Zeke. I like running games. I like designing them, too. I bring unusual settings to life with deep lore and bespoke homebrew character options. In my games, you might test your survival skills in a corrupted hellscape, or travel through time to the Stone Age to battle an immortal dark lord before his rise to power, or protect a solarpunk utopia from strange mutant beasts with your favorite raygun. If you've always wanted to play in a game with a unique premise, and you're looking for a GM to make that game a reality, feel free to reach out to me.

Character creation

Creating your character

You'll create level 1 characters according to the core rules as written, except as noted below. Ancestries Suggested: troll, goblin, sprite, kobold, centaur, lizardfolk, nymph Disallowed: human, elf, dwarf, gnome, halfling, tanuki Most uncommon and rare ancestries are available, including many new and unusual ones from BattleZoo sourcebooks. Feats You'll get additional feats from the Ancestry Paragon and Free Archetype variant rules. Good Guys Outsiders might see your character as a villain, but they should actually be "one of the good guys." I'll leave that up to you to define. Uncommon Options Ask me. I'm likely to say yes, as long as the option reasonably fits your character concept and doesn't unbalance the game in some way. Rare Options You will need to get permission from the other players to use a rare option. Each rare option may only appear once in the entire campaign. (This means once one player plays an exemplar, no one else can!)

The current party

Session 0 is tentatively set for Feb. 13, and the campaign kicks off the following week. If you can see this message, that means we still have open seats! Current party roster (tentative until game start): Aine, a dryad who commands roots and streams A mysterious iruxi (lizardfolk) with mystical ties to the land

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a Discord account. We'll use it for voice chat during game and to keep in touch between sessions. You will also need a mic. If you'll be playing from a noisy place or a place with lots of distractions, you need to have PTT (Push To Talk) in Discord set up before the game starts. This is a courtesy to your fellow players as well as the GM.

What Zeke brings to the table

- Tactical conflicts that have more than one possible solution - A strategic narrative that hinges on player decisions and welcomes innovative problem-solving - Technical, rules-as-written gameplay to provide consistency and challenge - The BattleZoo library of monster-themed character options pre-loaded into Foundry VTT for your use - A classic Pathfinder campaign seen from a fresh perspective

Homebrew rules

Free Archetype This grants extra multiclass-like feats to let you customize your character's abilities. Ancestry Paragon This gives you extra feats related to your ancestry, making your lineage more important in the game. Keeley's Hero Point Rule This prevents a bad roll when you use a Hero Point for a reroll. Rare rares Each rare character option can only appear in the campaign once, for all players. Milestone-based character progression We're doing away with experience point calculations. You'll gain levels just after major plot beats, or after four sessions pass. Kingdom management Depending on the players' preference, we may play the game with modified kingdom management rules, or we might toss these rules out entirely in favor of a purely narrative approach.

How Zeke creates a safe table

During play, we'll use X-cards as a safety and consent tool. I have an X-card module loaded into foundry that lets you play your card at the push of a button. Prior to play, we'll compile a list of all participants' lines and veils to guide us during play.
