About the adventure
This game is perfect for players who enjoy rich storytelling, complex character development, and epic battles. If you love exploring deep backstories, facing challenging encounters, and navigating a world filled with ancient gods and mythical creatures, then Odyssey of the Dragonlords will be an unforgettable adventure. 🏰 The World 🏰 Thylea is a star system of ancient gods, forgotten legends, and the shattered remnants of the Dragonlord Armada. Once ruled by Titans, its planetoids bear the scars of divine wars and mythic rebellions. The void between worlds hums with lost technologies as primordial beasts drift through asteroid fields. Will you become a legendary hero, or will Thylea’s secrets consume you? 🧙🏼 The DM 🧙🏼 My focus is on bringing together a group of players who complement each other well for a successful, long-term campaign. To ensure this, I’ll have a quick chat with each player over Discord to understand your expectations and make sure we’re a good fit. 🎲 The Game Details 🎲 Please consider the game schedule and ensure it fits your foreseeable commitments before joining, as I’m aiming to create a long-term, dedicated group of players who will complete the campaign together. We’ll be playing on Foundry VTT (if you're new to it, don’t worry—it's easy to learn and a lot of fun!) with audio and video over Discord. While a webcam is optional, it’s highly encouraged to help with player bonding! I’ll have my camera on during sessions to foster a more immersive experience.

About me
Hi! I'm Dmytro. I'm a mathematician with a passion for tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs). Whether it's building intricate systems, creating immersive worlds, or telling epic stories, I love everything about the creativity and strategy that TTRPGs bring to the table. If you're looking for a fun and engaging game experience, I'm here to help guide you through it. With my experience, I can ensure the game is challenging, exciting, and, most importantly, a great time for everyone involved. Come join me at the table, and let's make some unforgettable memories!

Creating your character
This campaign uses Gestalt (Dual Class) rules. You will choose two classes at character creation and gain the class features of both classes simultaneously as you level up, creating powerful and highly customised characters. We’ll roll for stats, but you’ll have the option to use the alternative array (17, 15, 13, 12, 10, 8) as a backup if preferred. We’ll be using the 2024 rules, with legacy materials (such as species and subclasses) allowed. Third party materials might be allowed on my approval. Characters will start at level 10 with the set of magic items and equipment appropriate to their status.
We are about to have a session 0, great time to join!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the game launch, we'll talk over Discord and have a Session Zero, where we can discuss the campaign details, get to know each other, and set expectations. Make sure you have a working microphone and a reliable internet connection. And most importantly, bring your positive energy and enthusiasm for an unforgettable adventure!

Homebrew rules
Characters in this campaign use Gestalt (Dual Class) rules - each character advances in two classes at once, gaining the features of both. Expect high-powered heroes, flexible builds, and epic-level play. Building Gestalt Characters To make a gestalt character, choose two standard classes. Build your character according to the following guidelines. Prerequisites To qualify for a dual class, you must meet the ability score prerequisites for both your classes according to the standard Multiclassing Prerequisites table. Hit Dice Choose the larger hit die. For example, a ranger/rogue gestalt would use the Ranger’s d10 hit die instead of the Rogue’s d8 hit die, and as such would have 10+Con hit points at level 1. Proficiency Bonus Your proficiency bonus is based on your character’s level as normal. Proficiencies You gain the armor, weapon and tool proficiencies of both classes. Skill Proficiencies Choose your skills from the skill lists of both classes. Whichever class gives the greater number of skills, you choose that number of skills. For example, a fighter/ranger can choose 3 skills, picking from both the Fighter skill list and the Ranger skill list. Saving Throws Proficiencies You get Saving Throws Proficiencies of one of your classes. Class Features You get the class features of both classes. A 1st-level monk/ranger, for example, gets both the Monk’s Unarmored Defense and Martial Arts features, and the Ranger’s Favored Enemy and Natural Explorer features. Class- and ability-based restrictions apply normally to a gestalt character, regardless of what the other class is. Ability Score Improvement You get only one Ability Score Improvement feature at levels 4, 8, 12, 16, and 19. Feats can be taken as normal. Extra Attack If you gain the Extra Attack feature from more than one of your classes, they don’t add together (except for the Fighter’s Extra Attack adding to itself). Additionally, the Warlock’s eldritch invocation Thirsting Blade doesn’t grant an additional attack if you also have Extra Attack. Spellcasting Treat both classes of the gestalt separately when it comes to determining spell slots, spells known, and cantrips known. For example, a 5th-level Ranger/Wizard would have from the Ranger class four 1st-level spell slots and two 2nd-level spell slots, and would know 4 Ranger spells. From the Wizard class, they would have four 1st-level spell slots, three 2nd-level spell slots, and two 3rd-level spell slots, knowing four Wizard cantrips and having 14 spells in their spellbook from leveling. These spell slots would be added together, and this character would end up with eight 1st-level spell slots, five 2nd-level spell slots, and two 3rd-level spell slots, which can be used to cast any of the 4 ranger spells they know, or any of the 6+their Intelligence modifier wizard spellsthey have prepared. Multiclassing No multiclassing allowed.
