About the adventure
The world as you knew it fundamentally changed the moment the spell was cast. All buildings were suddenly flattened, everyone who was indoors presumably died. Huge gates rose from the ground and portals opened inside them. A gritty, uppity voice spoke into the mind of all mortals on the planet. “Well met mortals! You have all been cordially invited to partake in the greatest work of magic and entertainment that the world has ever known. It’s called The Great World Dungeon! The dungeon will consist of 18 levels, with a decreasing amount of portals down to the next level. Currently there are 131,072 portals open around your world, that number will decrease by half each subsequent layer. And if you make it to the 18th floor, you get to fully rule the planet as an immortal emperor for all eternity! If you choose to accept the challenge, you have 1 hour from the end of this message to enter into the portal. If you don’t enter then you will be annihilated as the 0th Layer collapses. You can take anything you find into the dungeon with you. And once you arrive inside, find a tutorial guild for further information. Now get out there and kill, kill, kill! So this a big spinoff of Dungeon Crawler Carl, maybe calling it a spinoff is too loose; ripoff would be closer. It’s a style of story that lends itself incredibly well to ttrpg’s, as the main character often likens his situation to a scenario he’d see while playing D&D. You don’t need to read the series to understand what’s going on, but I absolutely recommend it!
