About the adventure
⚔️The city guard were sent to investigate a string of bizarre murders in the nearby woods. When they didn't return, the city hired you. Your job is to discover what happened to the guards and bring an end to the terror. 🧙♂️Shadow of the Weird Wizard is a d20 fantasy rpg created by one of the D&D 5E 2014 designers. It has a cool progression system (Paths), fun & flavorful spells (magic Traditions), and a quick and easy initiative system. It uses a similar advantage/disadvantage system to 5E, but it's called Boons/Banes and it adds or subtracts a d6 to your d20 roll. 💬Hail! I love Shadow of the Weird Wizard, and I look forward to introducing more people to the system! This will be a one-shot adventure where I will guide you through the mechanics of the system as we play. I will also provide more system information in the Discord and will be available to answer any questions before the session.

About me
Yo, what's up!? My name's Maly. I'm just a goblin dude who loves TTRPGs and collaborative storytelling! I have been deep into the hobby for over a decade, and I have experienced multiple different systems along the way. My current favorites are the Shadow series - Shadow of the Demon Lord/Weird Wizard, but I enjoy learning/playing/running systems of all kinds. The past 3 years I have run online, and I am familiar and proficient with Discord, Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, and Syrinscape.

Creating your character
Level 2 pregenerated characters are provided with a pool of 8 to choose from. I will provide copies of the sheets prior to the game for you to choose and get familiar with. We will discuss more in the Discord. If you have access to Weird Wizard material and would like to create your own level 2 character, you can submit to me before the game for approval.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This will be played over Discord for voice and Roll20 for characters, maps and dice rolls so you will need Discord access and a Roll20 account. You will also needs a decent mic/headset and a stable internet connection.
What MalyNym brings to the table
For this, I will be teaching the system. I will be providing character sheets prior to the game. When we start the session, I will do a quick rundown of the character sheet as it appears in roll20 and answer any questions. For the session I like to use Syrinscape for ambient music and sfx, quality maps and minis, give NPC voices, and bring a love for the game! All pregen PC and NPC models created using Hero Forge by the talented Ruby_TheLazyGoblin!

How MalyNym creates a safe table
I run an inclusive table. I won't allow any hateful speech. The number one rule everyone has to agree upon before playing is: Be excellent to each other. I will send out the RPG Consent Checklist to the players. I am always open for discussion should a player require. We will discuss Lines and Veils before we start.
