About the adventure
Darkness spreads across Faerûn, but hope has not yet been extinguished. An unnatural shadow blots out the sun, allowing Lolth's Drow (dark elves) to strike freely and threaten the balance of the world. Rumors speak of a terrible ambition: Lolth, the Drow Spider Queen, seeks to claim control of magic itself. War of Everlasting Darkness is a heroic dark fantasy D&D 5e campaign for characters levels 1–8, where small choices grow into world-changing deeds. You’ll explore a land under siege, form alliances, uncover dangerous secrets, and push back against the rising night, with your decisions shaping the fate of Faerûn. This game is beginner-friendly. New players are encouraged, and I’m happy to teach the rules as we play. I run a collaborative, story-focused game where creativity is rewarded, teamwork matters, and everyone gets a chance to shine. If you enjoy epic fantasy, hopeful heroism, and being part of a supportive table where your choices truly matter, this campaign is for you.

About me
Beginner-friendly + Epic Adventures | D&D 5e with Creativity & Heart I specialize in creating welcoming, beginner-friendly D&D tables that balance player freedom with strong story-telling immersion and pacing. Whether its your first campaign or you’re returning experienced player, my goal is to make sure everyone feels supported, engaged, and excited to play together. A little bit about me: Once I played my first Dungeons and Dragons game in 2014 with 5th ed. I knew there was no going back, I was hooked immediately. To me there is nothing more thrilling than watching a group of us wonderful misfits and mavericks team up to become epic heroes on an adventure we build together. I’ve been in love with fantasy and sci-fi since I can remember and have a deep abiding love for both Star Wars and Lord of the Rings. In my down time you might find me listening to ridiculously loud music while knitting, saving the world as Commander Shepard or more recently Tav, watching a murder mystery, and if it’s the holidays I’ve probably already started a rewatch of either LOTR, Star Wars or both. Creating your character
Character creation will take place during Session 0 using Roll20. We’ll be using the 2014 D&D 5e Player’s Handbook for character options, and all characters will begin at Level 1 using the standard stat array. Pre-generated characters will be available for anyone who wants to jump in quickly or are brand new to D&D. If you’d like extra support, I’m also happy to meet before Session 0 to help you create your character or talk through concepts and options. New players are always welcome: no prior experience required.
- Level 1 Wizard (Duergar) - Level 1 Druid (Firbolg) - Level 1 Paladin (Goliath) - Level 1 Cleric (Half-Orc) Our wizard, has picked up on a mysterious signal where there should be none; for Mystra, goddess of magic, has been dead for 100 years. The weave of magic should be at rest, silent. He seeks aid along with our druid from a colleague in Quaervarr to piece together the mystery of what disturbs both magic and nature in the northern forests of the Glimmerwood. Our paladin, trusted member of his order, is charged with the care of a new cleric recruit. An old temple of the order has gone silent. The duo travels back to discover why the wards have failed. Where is the sacred order that guards the Glimmerwood outside of Quaevarr? Why has there been no word?
What to expect
Preparing for the session
1. Create a free Discord account and be ready to join my Discord server (invite link provided after signup). For the best user experience I recommend downloading the discord app instead of using the web-browser experience. 2. Create a free Roll20 account for maps, character sheets, and gameplay 3. Make sure you have: * A computer or laptop with a working mouse and keyboard * Stable internet connection * Headphones and a working microphone * Webcam: A webcam is only suggested for the initial meet-and-greet and Session 0. After that, webcam use is optional and up to each player’s comfort level. I am committed to having my webcam on most sessions.
What Britt brings to the table
I provide a welcoming, story-driven D&D experience where player choices matter and everyone gets a chance to shine. My games focus on immersive roleplay, meaningful character moments, and cinematic combat, with a tone that balances dark fantasy stakes and hopeful heroism. You can expect distinct NPCs and a solid attempt at some character voicing, supported by ambient music and soundscapes to help set the mood. Combat is engaging and purposeful: designed to feel tense and exciting without being overwhelming. My GM style embraces the Rule of Cool when it enhances the narrative, while still respecting the rules to keep the game fair and consistent. I’m happy to teach mechanics as we play, making this a beginner-friendly table that also stays interesting for experienced players. Above all, I prioritize collaboration, clear communication, and a supportive table culture where creativity is encouraged and everyone feels comfortable taking part.

How Britt creates a safe table
Player safety and comfort are a priority at my table. During Session 0, we’ll review all of the safety tools chosen, with full resources available in our private Discord server. The player survey I send out also provides a link to the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. Survey results are used to create the campaigns Lines and Veils. While the Lines and Veils may be shared when necessary with players, all contributions remain anonymous. We use the X, N, & O card system, with digital options for no-camera sessions. Each session includes a 5-minute break, and aftercare or check-ins are used when intense moments arise. Stars and Wishes may be submitted privately after each session. Harmful behaviour is not tolerated. Players who refuse to stop harmful behaviour will be removed from the session; a second offence results in removal from the campaign. Hate speech, racism, discrimination, or real-world threats have zero tolerance and result in immediate dismissal.
