About the adventure
You woke this morning to a blood-red sunrise, the dark clouds overhead threatening a violent storm. What's more, an eerie green comet hangs in the sky, its glow growing by the day—an ill omen of things to come? Spirit of Celestia, the ship that bore you out of Eilvalor heading for an island with the foreboding name of Stormwreck, pitches under your feet. As lightning flashes across the sky, a creature of the deep slithers onto the deck. "These waters belong to the Scaled Queen,” the creature snarls, all scales and slime and muscle, “I'm here to collect her tribute." In an instant, your blade is in hand. Not this beast, nor any other, will keep you from your fate. The siren song of unplundered dungeons filled with riches and magic call to you from your dreams. Welcome to the Fell. Welcome to the Archipelago of the Arcanum Chromatica. Welcome to Stormwreck Isle.

About me
Howdy! I’m Jacob—a writer, artist, programmer, and game designer currently dwelling in the foothills of Appalachia. I started playing tabletop roleplaying games in 2012. I was just out of college, and the bass player of the band I was in at the time (Eddie Doldrum—have ya heard of ‘em?) suggested we (the aforementioned band) try Dungeons & Dragons. It only took her running one session to hook all of us. We quickly cycled through D&D 4th Edition, D&D 3.5, and Pathfinder, until I discovered that a new edition of the world’s most popular roleplaying game was in public testing. Then codenamed D&D Next, it offered what I was looking for at the time: a system with a lighter touch that would allow me to run the kinds of adventures my imagination was overflowing with. I took over running our weekly games and never looked back. Since then, I’ve played and run (mostly run, being the forever GM that I am) dozens of different games—from story games to old-school revival and everything in between. I even wrote a few of my own games (Fell—have ya heard of it?) and published adventures. I’ve completed multiple year (or years) long campaigns (how many GMs can say that?) thanks to my wonderful players. I love these games we call TTRPGs. I’ll never stop.

How Jacob creates a safe table
• Before the game, I'll send you a form to fill out where you can give me your details (including lines and veils). • We'll start with a session zero and have a mini session 0 at the beginning of each game. • We'll take a scheduled break at the one and two-hour marks of the game, but you can take a break at any time if you need one. • You can invoke the X, N, or O card in the chat or out loud at any time, and I'll address them immediately. • We'll have a quick debriefing at the end of each game. • After the game, I'll send you a form to fill out where further feedback can be provided (such as stars & wishes).
