About the adventure
The adventure takes place in a converted Castle. There are many non player characters around to talk to. The tone of the Castle is sometimes light and upbeat and other times carry's a very serious tone. I will walk though any new players each step of the way on how game mechanics work and how to use their characters. The game is designed in a way that the players get to experience a little of each game mechanic... puzzles..roleplay..combat.. The game can be played by as little as one person or up to three. I run it very immersive with different voices for each non player character and can soft guide the players so they are never fully stuck.

Creating your character
Players will create a level 3 character from 2014 rules in DND beyond. (I will walk new players through it prior to the session). Characters will be created in DND Beyond as well as the maps used. I will have content sharing enabled so players can create any options available from the books I have purchased. The main source books are PHB, XGTE and TCE. Anything outside of those feel free to DM me and ask.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
A discord server will be used to communicate and a free account on dndbeyond needs to be set up. All my source books will be shared so the players will not have to pay for anything outside of the session.
What Colin brings to the table
I use ambient music in the background to set the mood. I keep a balanced session with role play and combat. I try to make the combat dynamic but not too complicated if teaching people how to play. I play to the rules but will let certain things fly if it's a creative idea from the player that would enhance the experience.
Homebrew rules
I run drinking potions as bonus action. When getting a crit I use full damage of the dice roll plus one additional roll.

have an open door policy that any player can contact me to address any concerns or issues. Anything that is immediate they can DM me on discord that I keep open during play. In initial contact players will have the opportunity to explain anything that might be of concern to them before playing. I always check in with players after each sessions to get feedback on their feelings about the session.
