About the adventure
Do you have what it takes to impress a devil? Steel your nerves and ready your dice - Afterlife Arena is calling! Hosted by Lady Fierna herself, this blood-soaked spectacle pits the boldest heroes against titanic monsters, world-ending threats, and each other in a battle for glory, survival, and infernal favor. This Level 20 one-shot is your chance to unleash that wild build you’ve always wanted to try, show off your tactical brilliance, and revel in the over-the-top carnage that only high-level D&D can deliver. The rules are simple: Fight hard. Die loud. Entertain the devil. Will you win Lady Fierna's favor... or become part of the arena floor? (This is an everyone vs. the monsters kind of one-shot, not a PvP one!)

About me
Hello everyone! My name is Robin, I have been a Dungeon Master for over 6 years. In this time I have ran a wide array of games: from one shots to long campaigns, from lighthearted quests to grimdark intrigue, from whimsy and fantastical to down to earth and realistic. No matter the setting or kind of game, my number one priority is making sure that everyone is having fun, enjoying themselves, and getting a fun break from day-to-day life. I'm currently GMing in Pathfinder 2e and DND 5e, and whether you're a veteran player or a complete newbie, I hope to get to roll some dice with you! All my games are LGBT+ friendly.

Creating your character
Players will be expected to make a level 20 character. Any race/class combo is allowed, and you can roll 4d6(drop the lowest) for stats. You can have any combination of magic items, so long as they add up to 10 points: uncommon items are 1 point, rare is 2 points, very rare are 3 points, and legendary are 4 points. Consumables are worth half of their point cost (so a rare consumable is 1 point instead of 2). You can have only one potion with lasting effects at a given time. You can have any combination of magic items you want, any feats and multiclasses you want, anything that sounds fun to you! Both 2024 and 2014 rules are allowed. Play what sounds fun to you. I'm using Roll20 as a VTT, you can either make a sheet in there, export one from your vault, or connect to DnDBeyond.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you need is a character sheet, a mic, and an Internet connection. We are going to be using Roll20 for maps and rolls and Discord for voice. I suggest that all players familiarize themselves with their high level abilities prior, especially if it's their first time playing in a high level one shot.
What Robin brings to the table
Maps, background music, and an epic fight to remember!
Homebrew rules
You can buy as much standard, non-magical equipment as you want. For casters, I assume you have the monetary components to cast every spell you have on hand. Here are the rules for magic items: You can have any combination of magic items, so long as they add up to 10 points: UNCOMMON are 1 point, RARE are 2 points, VERY RARE are 3 points, LEGENDARY are 4 points., ARTIFACTS cost 6 points., Consumables cost half the point cost per rarity; this means that a rare consumable is 1 point instead of 2, very rare is 1.5 point, etc.

How Robin creates a safe table
The aim of this one shot is to be as fun and as challenging as possible. We will have a deck of X, N, O cards in Roll20, which you can drag onto the screen. You can also message me directly if you'd like to keep it between you and me.
