About the adventure

Step into the world of Eberron with the classic introductory adventure The Forgotten Forge. This game is designed as a welcoming entry point to the setting and will be run using D&D 2024 rules only (the Player’s Handbook and Forge of the Artificer). No homebrew, no legacy books—just a clean, modern ruleset. If the group enjoys the adventure, there will be a clear option to continue playing and further explore the wider world of Eberron. If you’re new to D&D 2024, this session also functions as a guided learning experience. We’ll walk through the updated rules as they come up in play, making this an ideal on-ramp for players who want to learn the system while adventuring rather than studying rules in isolation. Adventure Synopsis: The story begins in Sharn, a vertical metropolis of intrigue, ambition, and shadows—where many troubles begin with a corpse. A murdered warforged assassin, a mysterious blank book, and an offer from an ambitious heir of House Cannith pull the adventurers into Sharn’s underbelly. What starts as a simple job soon leads deep below the city, into an ancient ruin that predates even the Kingdom of Galifar—where secrets of the Last War and Eberron’s future lie waiting.

About me

I run games with one main goal: giving you and your group unforgettable TTRPG moments, the kind you’ll still be talking about years later, usually starting with “Remember when we absolutely should not have done that?” I’ve got 20+ years behind the screen and at the table, both locally and online. I bring deep world-building, strong storytelling, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting (don’t worry, the chaos is intentional). Whether you’re after a tight, cinematic one-shot or a long-running campaign that spirals beautifully out of control, I’m your GM. I can also tailor games for streams, podcasts, or content channels—or keep everything private if you prefer your bad dice rolls to remain off the internet forever. All games are run on virtual tabletops, complete with detailed combat maps (yes, there are grids), immersive music and soundscapes (dramatic boss music included), and well-organized character sheets—so you can focus on roleplaying, terrible decisions, and blaming the dice instead of wrestling with tech.

What Matt brings to the table

You can expect tactical maps for every battle, distinctive NPC voices paired with portraits to put faces to names, and a steady stream of engaging story moments that draw you into the adventure. I layer the atmosphere with sound and music effects to heighten tension, drama, or levity, making each scene feel cinematic. My focus is always on keeping players engaged, energized, and invested, creating an experience that feels vivid, dynamic, and unforgettable.
