About the adventure
The Fall of Blackbottom is not an adventure for the faint of heart. You will be thrown into unwinnable scenarios and asked to push your limits and find victory in spite of impossible odds! You find yourself in the Free City of Blackbottom when disaster and tragedy strikes. The forces of Ajax the conqueror, demons, monsters and soldiers made of dead men plunder the city and round up the helpless and afraid. You will be charged with saving as many of these people as you can. Experience the fall of the city from the beginning Navigate the dangers of the occupation through resistance or espionage Lead those under your charge to liberation This is a grim tale of resistance and war, heavy emotional themes and intense dramatic encounters are to be expected. Heyo! I'm Tara! I have been playing RPG's since I was a teenager, I founded the club at my high school and I was a public GM at my Local Game store for 5 years! I love introducing people to the space! I consider us to be collaborators in storytelling, I want you to feel like your character mattered and made an impact on the world. Often former Player Characters will make an appearance and leave permanent marks on the game world - I would love for your character to be one of them! I'm really excited to start getting into draw steel and running high octane action packed heroic adventures! I love sparking a player's creativity, my favorite moments in any game happen when the players think up a solution or a bit of lore or backstory that i never could've thought up on my own! Creating your character
Character Creation will be handled in a 1 on 1 Session 0 with me prior to game start. Pregenerated Characters are available upon request. Draw Steel handles most character creation natively so we will be doing things largely by the books. :)

I run a yes, AND! game, i want you to think big and bold and break my prep notes :) Character voices Detailed vivid descriptions Premium VTT assets from CzePeku Engaging tactical play beyond "kill all monsters" Deep Roleplay Deep experience with Draw Steel, playing since early playtesting My games involve lots of delving deep into your character's psychology and emotions. I love RPG's where the players are both badass and complex 3 dimensional people and I love to help players get their characters to that point :) We will be using Draw Steel's purpose built VTT, THE CODEX; distributed via Steam. The Codex requires at least 8 GB of RAM and may not run on older computers. The Codex is still in playtesting stages of development but even still delivers the best VTT experience I have ever had. Instructions on joining the Codex will be sent to you after you sign up for the game.
Homebrew rules
Mostly rules as written, I don't have many permanent homebrew rules in Draw Steel but we will flex the game for Rule of Cool 😎
