The groaning, creaking floorboards of a local tavern begin their twisted song of life as barmaids and bouncers alike make their morning rounds to breathe artificial life into a cold and hollow frame. But some of us remember a time before. A time when our sun was not blotted out by ashes and fog, a time when music used to ring out from every tavern, late into the morning hours, a time before the land died and we were forced to occupy its corpse. A time before the war." Welcome to Isvara, a war-torn land stripped of its color, its resources, and most of the time, all of its joy. A centuries-long war and hatred older than any man alive force this world into an iron cage, locked in strife and struggle until somehow these conflicts can be resolved. You, brave adventurer, may just be what we need to restore the light to this shadow of what used to be... this shell of our former selves. Isvara is an open-world, dark fantasy game with steam punk elements, similar aesthetics to the Dishonored franchise, which will reflect in your free character and token art! Fine silks, rough canvas, clockwork machinery mixed with medieval fantasy elements; A world in transition from the old era into the new. Expect dangerous wild life, difficult challenges and puzzles, political intrigue, and a world full of monsters, fey, and weeping gods that may convince you that sometimes.. it IS best to run, and live to fight another day.
