About the adventure
The world of Belara is beset by forces of evil, from necromancers creating their own undead hordes to dragon cultists worshipping magnificently frightening beasts. A history of conflict and tragedy, massive catastrophes and deadly wars, alongside rifts that open and create a gateway between the planes. The Alliance of Medria is a fragile coalition of city-states that has just survived a massive attack by the combined forces of undead and draconic creatures. They are licking their wounds, but those still powerful yearn for more, possibly creating a bigger conflict than before. The Kingdom of Elmedor is powerful, steadfast, and has recovered from its previous defeat, yet it is the main defender of the realm. It is the main outfitter and supplier of Icestall, the last bastion of hope against the encroaching Zehru. If Icestall were to fall, mortalkind would soon follow. The people need help. They need heroes. Only these heroes can muster the power, the courage, and the charisma to defeat the ever-present evil and to make Belara a safer place! Create folktales! Give people something they can believe in! Become Icons! Come, be the heroes the world needs!

About me
Hello there! Greetings and thank you for checking out my profile! I'm Wettz/Daniel. I'm in my middle twenties and love GM-ing, working together with my players to create something that we can be proud of. I first started playing DnD5e in 2018, I started DMing it in 2019 and from then on I've been playing or DMing in a TTRPG game at least every week. I play and run my sessions in Owlbear Rodeo with maps, tokens and music but I do plan to fully switch to Foundry. I'm eagerly awaiting veteran and new players as I love to teach people about things I like and realize just how much more I need to know. 5e has been my main game ever since then but I have dabbled in Masks; Daggerheart; Savage Worlds and have been diving deeper into Pathfinder 2e! I do my best to learn from my players, accommodate to them and bring the best experience I can. I welcome feedback, negative and positive, so long as they are constructive! I love fantasy and sci-fi, though I have only DM'd fantasy settings so far. My favourites are Lord of the Rings and Star Wars! I hope to sit at the same table as you!

Creating your character
The character creation will happen during the free session 0 we're going to have! We're going to be using Foundry's character creation. In addition, you can use pathbuilder to pre-build your characters! Once the characters have been created, I will have a quick 1-2 hour 1-on-1 adventure with the player to see how their character ended up where they did!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need to have/bring: - A stable internet connection - A microphone and Discord downloaded - An account on the Forge hosting service - Willingness to endure my bad voices
What Wettz brings to the table
Foundry maps: maps in foundry with walls, lighting, and effects set in place to truly get people in the mood. Tokens: Notable NPCs and Players get their own unique token. Music: I will bring ambient music and sound effects via Foundry or Kenku FM. Unique, Player-based storylines: While the world itself will have a storyline, your backstories will play key roles in shaping the story we will create. Positive atmosphere: I like to surround myself with people with whom I get along with and can chat with, sharing my passion of TTRPGs and all things nerdy. --- I'm a GM who likes to play by the rules but is willing to break and bend them when someone comes up with a good, creative idea or just wants to do something cool and fun. I will always reward roleplay and quick decision-making as well. If disagreements arise, we will default to Rules as Written but I am much more interested in the story we will create and will do my best to accommodate! I'm a veteran DM of 5e with almost a decade of experience behind me, switching over to Pf2e; I welcome new players just as well as seasoned ones. The campaign would be mostly exploration, be it sandbox or not, I'm flexible, with a 60/40 combat/roleplay split, but I'll do my best to accommodate.
Homebrew rules
We'd be devising homebrew rules on the fly if need be. We do have the free archetype optional rule though! The only exception is the "Hollow Men". Their real name is "The Zehru", a homebrewed monster unique to Belara. An ever-present, existential threat that is always plaguing the world with a dense fog following the horde constantly. They snatch up their victims and drag them to the fog, never to be seen again. They are a group of homebrew creatures that I will introduce in the campaign and will be featured more and more as the story goes on.

How Wettz creates a safe table
During session 0 we'll go over what the players are comfortable with and what they are not. An RPG consent checklist will be sent beforehand so I have an idea of what to expect. I'll do my best to adapt. If someone finds a scene uncomfortable, all they need to do is send me a DM with "X" and I'll just skip forward and make a note to not include it again.
