About the adventure

Your tale begins on the world of Indoril, adrift within the twin-star wildspace system of Kora. In ages long past, the divines waged an apocalyptic war across Kora’s planets, scouring them with fire and ruin. Worlds were broken, civilizations erased, and the heavens themselves scarred. This cataclysm would come to be remembered as the War of Divinity. Yet even before that devastation, the gods had already turned on their makers; the Titans, forgers of worlds and shapers of reality. When the dust finally settled, it was not the heavens that claimed victory, but mortals. United by desperation, the mortal races rose up and cast down their would be rulers, breaking divine dominion and ushering in an age where the influence of gods faded to near nothing. Still, not all were banished… and neither were their creations. Ancient histories whisper of Xolotl, god of madness and deception, who may have escaped divine exile entirely. Archdevils, demon lords, dragon aspects, and other abominations born of divine war yet stalk the cosmos. Though this is now the age of mortals, it is one they have had to defend with blood and iron; both from lingering divinities and from one another. Indoril stands fractured and war-scarred, its divisions deep and its future uncertain. It is a perfect time for celestials, demons, and forgotten gods alike to scheme their return. About the Campaign Tales of Indoril is a blend of historical, high, and dark fantasy, grounded in grit, consequence, and hard choices. Player decisions matter and reflect on the world. This is not a story of righteous heroes or benevolent rulers, but of survival in a land where power corrupts and faith is often little more than another weapon. About the World Indoril is not kind. Slavery, decadence, and despair fester in its cities. Dragons raze kingdoms, lords rule through cruelty, and hags feast upon the young. Its streets are lined with brothels and taverns, crowded by drunkards, pompous knights, and the remnants of decaying faiths. There are no promises of happy endings here; only the struggle to endure, to carve meaning from ruin, and perhaps to find purpose in a world long damned. Campaign Type Grand Adventure. Dungeon delving, brutal and rewarding combat, intense roleplay, and the freedom to explore a vast homebrew world shaped by your actions. Indoril does not offer mercy but it does offers opportunity.

About me

Ever since I can remember I have been obsessed with my own imagination and the imagination of others. Imagination is a place where you can take a break from everything for a bit and pretend to be somewhere, someone, something else. I was always creating new worlds or expanding ones I had already created in my head. Soon the closet was stockpiled with cheap note book paper adorned with my doodles, drawings, maps and ideas. Now as an adult, I continue that trend.. just a bit less messy. About three years ago I finally gave DnD a try and immediately started as a DM, building a new and expansive homebrew world with my players as we all learned along the way. Now that world is a 500+ page PDF with still more to go. My obsession with world building clearly knows no bounds and I would love to share either my world or a world created by another (As I said, I also love to explore the imaginations of other people!) with a as many people as I can. <3

Character creation

Creating your character

Hey! We will go over character creation during session 0; although, I would recommend having a concept in mind for what you would like to play. I generally try to fit in any ideas my players have as best as possible and will alter the lore if needed to make it fit.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To prepare make sure that you have discord ready to go and Windows 10/11 or Mac OS that is a requirement to use the VTT.

What DM Erin brings to the table

Session 0: We'll discuss your character’s backstory, the world’s lore, and finalize character creation. Dark and Gritty Tone: The world often feels bleak—but you have the power to change that. Experienced and Patient DM: Knowledgeable about the setting and ready to adapt to your choices. Tactical Combat & Dungeon Crawling: Expect challenging encounters that reward strategy. Rich Roleplay Opportunities: Dive deep into character-driven scenes and story moments.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules are posted in the discord server.

Safety

How DM Erin creates a safe table

No creeps, no bigotry. If there is something you do not want to see in the game, such as torture, please notify me. With that said, this is a Grim-Dark world that is heavily influenced by darker fantasy settings and a blend of our real world history so you shouldn't be joining this game and not expect to see or hear dark things.
