About the adventure
🩸 Welcome to Talmandor’s Bounty, a fledgling settlement built on the bones of a lost empire, where scholars and settlers hope to unearth ancient knowledge. But when a rare celestial event draws attention to this remote island in the shattered remnants of Azlant, YOU arrive to assist in the research... only to witness the sky itself bleed into darkness. A massive column of shadow erupts from the sea, dimming the sun and unleashing horrors of living night. As panic spreads, and monsters threaten to invade the settlement, YOU and your allies are thrust into the heart of the conflict. Your investigation leads you deeper into the Azlanti prison, now home to vampire cultists who worship the blood god Camazotz—and worse still, this disaster was only a test. In Shades of Blood, you’ll race against time to stop an ancient vampire's apocalyptic plan to blot out the sun forever, and solve a mystery from before Earthfall itself. 👑This campaign is slated to run from levels 1–10 for the full Adventure Path! ⚔️ Using my extensive experience as a GM and as a Foundry VTT host, I will guide you through a deeply personal, tactical, and thrilling campaign where YOUR party will shape the fate of the adventure. 🎲 Professionally crafted maps in addition to Paizo's premium modules will bring the world to life in Foundry VTT. With custom additions and hand-built enhancements, I work to make sure your journey will be as unique as your characters, and one you'll be excited to share with your friends. 👑 With hand-curated homebrew options and additional content from acclaimed Pathfinder creators, your character will have loads of interesting and unique options to choose from. 📖 Using the Stars and Wishes system, you help shape the luck of the table. Creating your character
You can either wait for session 0, or you can create a character ahead of time using Pathbuilder, located here: https://pathbuilder2e.com/app.html , making sure that Remastered rules are turned on. - You're free to choose any Common player options, along with any Uncommon or Rare ones that are suggested in the Adventure Guide ( see the 'how to prepare' section). If you want something outside of this, ask me directly. - Standard starting lump sum gold for the current party level. This can be found here: https://2e.aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=587 - You can purchase any common item with a level that is 1 below the starting level. For example, a new level 3 character can buy level 0, 1, and 2 items to begin. - Third party content is available on Discord from Team+ for certain class expansion options, along with archetypes. What to expect
Preparing for the session
First, you must join our Discord to play, and you'll receive an invite link once you join. If the invite is expired or invalid, please send me a message directly - my username is Ambitosis. Take a moment to read the adventure guide for this AP, located here: https://downloads.paizo.com/ShadesOfBlood_PlayersGuide.pdf Bring a friendly attitude and a spirit of adventure! For those who are new to Pathfinder, welcome! This campaign is a great opportunity to learn the ropes of the system and get involved in some iconic battles against a fresh palette of creatures from high fantasy and beyond. You must have a working mic, and if you wish to have voice activation on, that you don't have excessive background noise or are willing to switch to push-to-talk if it becomes an issue. A chromium based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera) OR the Foundry Lightweight Client (standalone) is highly suggested for maximum performance and compatibility with FoundryVTT. NO software is required on your end! Do NOT purchase a FoundryVTT license! All other preparation info is in Discord. Welcome to the adventure!
What Ambitosis brings to the table
Besides everything you'd expect from a virtual TTRPG module professionally prepared, you'll have access to a living adventure journal that details how you and your teammates have done in the campaign so far. Very useful for sharing stories with friends, looking up notes for things the group may have forgotten, or even just for having a good laugh about the good times and the bad. I also have a lot of purchased virtual content that I like to use - premium maps that I have made myself or have subscribed to, and my adventures are never limited to what's written in the campaign books. Any maps that you would like to have access to for your own uses can be 'brought home', and a copy will be provided on request, as long as that map was 'fully explored' in-game.

How Ambitosis creates a safe table
If you've joined for session 0, it is part of session 1. We'll spend most of the session solidifying campaign themes, make sure everyone's character fits, and we will all have a chance to lay all our expectations out on the table and verify everyone's up for what's involved in the adventure, all while making our characters together. I have no problem changing the content of the adventure path to better suit people's preferences!
