About the adventure
This is a game of intrigue set in the feywild. You will play as a member of the Seelie Court who returns to Merriment's Traveling Court of Wonder, an amusement park that travels the Multiverse. The premise is: as a kid you visited this amusement park with your friends despite your parents' warnings. You remember this day as one of the most magical and marvelous one you've ever had. However, at the end of the day, during the closing parade, you accepted a gift from Merriment, forgetting that nothing is ever free in the feywild. You lost something of importance that day in exchange for a bauble. Now, 15 years later, Merriment's Traveling Amusement Park of Wonder is back and you intent to reclaim what was taken from you with the help of your friends. This game is open to players who have some experience in D&D, enough to know their way around a character at lvl 10. I don't mind guiding everyone, but i would recommend a bit of experience for this one. This is a RP heavy adventure with intrigue at its core. While the setting is whimsical and enchanting, the quest works in challenges that requires the solving of puzzles. If you like wordplay, cute setting with an undercurrent that is challenging and serious, this is for you!

About me
I was 14 years old when I played D&D for the first time. It was a school group with a nerdy teacher who opened his class during lunch time so like minded folks could meet. I started as a human cleric in a 3.5 setting. I will always remember my first game. Fast forward to college I got to meet incredible friends and amazing players. We had a blast with the 4th edition. I experienced my first homebrew world where I played a Longtooth Shifter cleric. What a tank she was. Then I played a druid hamadryad in Dark Sun. Unfortunately, we never got to finish the campaign, like so many others! How many loved character sheets are abandonned in my keepsake box? Way too many... Getting nostalgic now! Then came the 5th edition. A breath of fresh air. For me, it was a return to my roots. Steamlined, clear, less technical. I love love love it. I am currently a DM in a homebrew campaign. I have great players who come every week. It's awesome, but I need more. It's like an addiction. A beautiful one.

Creating your character
Characters are pretty open for this game as long as you can explain why they live in the feywild. Player characters will all know each others from childhood, which we will determine their dynamic and relationship in session 0. I will help everyone build their character and integrate them in the bigger story and determine what was taken from them. In general I accept everything from official 2014 books except feat lucky and spell Silvery Barbs from Strixhaven. Since we are starting at lvl10, you can multiclass, but you need to explain to me why your character have made this or that choice and it must be reflected in RP.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord to keep in touch, Zoom for video call during game session and Roll20 as our gaming system.
What Myriam brings to the table
I enjoy having a lot of visual references when I play so I spend lots of time creating visuals for my games. Maps, portraits, other environment. I'm a visual artist and I pour countless hours in my games to bring them to life. I also create playlists to create entertaining ambiance. In general my games are roleplay-heavy but I enjoy challenging combats so when we have those I throw in mechanics to keep my players on their toes. I will always encourage outside of the box thinking and rule of cool is a muat at my table as long as it's cool for everyone.
Homebrew rules
I use a modified critical hits table and I have a couple of homebrew rules that I will explain before the game but nothing too expansive.

How Myriam creates a safe table
I use the consent RPG checklist and I have an open door policy. You can come to me at anytime about anything. I want my players to be comfortable around the table and I take feedback very seriously. After every game we take 5-10 minutes to debrief and go over the game. If, for any reason, a player is not comfortable to speak in front of everyone, again, they can come to me and I have no problem dealing with issues like adults.
