About me

I have been running Pathfinder 2e, D&D 5e and Old-School Essentials for fun for the last couple of years, and have recently started running games professionally. I love to teach new people how to play these games and meet people where they're at, so they can learn and have a great time. My games are all about interesting scenarios and interactivity. Expect a mix of roleplay, exploration and tactical combat from my games, with balanced pacing that gives each encounter depth without becoming stale. I do not use AI for anything.

Character creation

Creating your character

We will create characters together in session 0 at level 4, or characters who have completed a low level adventure such as Rusthenge can be brought over. Pregenerated characters for all classes will also be available. We will be using Free Archetype and the Mythic system. Consider a Mythic Calling (https://2e.aonprd.com/MythicCallings.aspx) for your character! I highly recommend checking out Pathbuilder and Archives of Nethys to get an idea of how character creation works and try out build ideas.

The current party

This game is following up from a Rusthenge campaign and will start on the 20th of January at the earliest.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Make sure that you have a Discord account and a free Forge VTT account.

What Spey brings to the table

I have extensive knowledge of Pathfinder 2e rules and character options from several years of running and playing the game. If you have any questions or need any help with your character build then I will happily assist. I have also been running using Foundry for several years now so expect few technical issues, useful automation, varied music and detailed maps. I keep a varied balance of tactical combat, in-depth roleplay and freeform exploration in my games. I mostly run rules as written but am always open to player creativity. If you have a good idea you want to try, I will make it work. I try to keep this balanced with the normal options as to not overshadow engaging with the core mechanics.

Homebrew rules

We will be using Free Archetype and the Mythic system.

Safety

How Spey creates a safe table

Session 0 will go over the content of the game, what to expect and what people may find too uncomfortable. Where possible I will modify content to account for this, such as by toning down violence or replacing enemies such as spiders. At any time players may press the X button on Foundry or say "X Card" and we will break for a discussion to sort out the issue and keep the game going after with the triggering content amended or removed.
