About the adventure
🏳🌈 You are most welcome here. ___ After a distant relation leaves the abandoned manor of Willowby Hall to their last living kin, your party's exploration is cut short by an angry giant attacking the walls in search of its stolen goose. While the thieves cower inside with their prize, every attack by the giant begins to awaken something else within its walls... Will the party loot the manor of its ancient relics, or succumb to the blades of its skeletal guardians? Who will make off with the goose and its golden eggs? Will anyone survive the giant's onslaught? The only way to find out...is to play. ___ Waking of Willoby Hall is a 3rd Level adventure adapted for the game Shadowdark from the Arcane Library and played via Foundry VTT. No experience with Shadowdark needed.
Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey y'all, I'm Chris. I'm a late 30-something Game Master from and currently living on the edge of Hillbilly Nation in the state of Kentucky. For a little north of the past 20 years I've usually been actively running, or thinking about running, some sort of tabletop roleplaying game. In 2003, I started running games because no one else wanted to play the game I wanted to. Then in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and try asking complete strangers to *pay* me to play make-believe for a few hours every week. To be completely honest, I still have a hard time understanding why, but after a couple of years of doing this at a professional level I'm starting to accept that I might be good at it. I'm a shy person by nature. I have mild stutter, plenty of anxiety, and enough self-doubt to go around -- but I also love being a Game Master. It's fun, it's creatively rewarding, and I'm constantly getting to meet and learn about new people, places, and things when I do it. Listen, I re-wrote and deleted huge chunks of this. I want to respect your time and try to make your experience fun. I want you to feel like you can relax, have a good time, and get engaged in creating a fun experience that makes your 3-ish hours with me a highlight of your week. Everything else is just set dressing.
