About the adventure

The Sablewood is an expansive forest that no one can fully catalogue. You are going in almost blind by the direct order of the king. You must deliver this strange package, magically sealed, to the Whitefire Arcanist. What You Know: The Sablewood is rumored to be home to people that still try to worship the Forgotten Gods. The animals that have evolved in this place have become something of hybrids; Fox Bats, Strixwolves, and Lemur-Toads. The trees, soaring high, are hardly the tallest things looming. And hearsay says that any who wander off the beaten path will be claimed by the wood. Daggerheart is a collabrative ttrpg, more so than DnD as it asks the players to worldbuild with the GM. Together I want a group that will aid a community in need and decide truths about this mysterious forest along the way. I ask you to join me in delivering a memorable campaign that will ease you into the gamestyle of daggerheart. Daggerheart has only been out for so long, and as I have been GMing it since it's release, especially Sablewood Messengers, I have a knack for introducing players to the play mechanics. Whether you are experienced or new, I want your help to tell a story we'll all be satisfied with.

About me

After nearly a decade of play and some years of GMing I've decided to expand my horizons beyond weekends only. Monday-Thursday I will be running 4 different systems, Fellowship, Monsterhearts, Daggerheart, and Dungeons and Dragons 5e. The first three of which I have run or am running full campaigns in for friends. I'm a queer GM and want to create an inviting space for any players who wish to join.

Character creation

Creating your character

Session 0 should cover all of character creation. We will not be using void content. Starting level 1. I will give you access to my player's cut of Daggerheart core for reference but do not worry if you need to ask for help.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I need every player to have a discord account that I can send an invite link to. The server will have class sheets and cards to use so we won't need to worry about demiplane.

What Kris brings to the table

I do a small bit of voice work, quite a bit of music, try to make combat dynamic and I will always allow Rule of Cool.

Homebrew rules

No homebrew rules to start but we might implement some if there's a suggestion everyone agrees with.

Safety

How Kris creates a safe table

There will be a Lines and Veils doc in the server. Everyone can edit it or ask me privately to add things if they are uncomfortable doing it themselves. You can either say X, N, and O at anytime or type it, I will have an eye on the chat, publicly or privately, and I will pause the game or ask to slow down while we sort it out. I will also enforce lines and veils to the best of my abilities. I will call breaks if anyone needs one.
