About the adventure
Absalom, the City at the Centre of the World. A bustling metropolis-sized showcase of the greatest treasures in Golarion. But underneath it's glimmering facade lies rot: smugglers, killers, cults, and conspiracies all vying for power. You are not adventurers embarking on epic quests for fame and glory, you are the people's first line of defense against everyday injustices - you are Agents of Edgewatch. Armed with badge, blade, and spell, you and your squad patrol the cityās streets, untangle its darkest secrets, and bring the worst of Golarionās criminals to justiceāif they donāt get you first. A remix of the Agents of Edgewatch campaign, Absalom Police Story tells the tale of a under-resourced, over-extended and newly commissioned precinct that must earn the respect of the people it protects. We currently live in an age where law enforcement often is no longer serving the people in the way we were brought up to believe - lets play a power fantasy of being the law enforcement that we want to see in our real world. š Urban investigation meets high-stakes heroics in this remade Pathfinder 2E campaign of crime, corruption, and consequence. š”ļø Unlike the original Agents of Edgwatch, this campaign will emphasise de-escalation, non-lethal combat and investigation. The railroad of the original story design has been replaced with central mysteries that allow the party to tell a story of choices and consequence. š Inspired by just about every trope and genre of cop movies, we will be fully leaning into buddy cop dynamics, being-too-old-for-this-shit and badge-confiscation-because-we're-out-of-control. A reoccuring cast fleshed out NPCs will create real bonds to the Edgwatch Precinct and the Precipice District. š± PF2e mechanics can be complex and intimidating. I pride myself on running a beginner friendly space that is always open for discussion and rule interpretation. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but I believe all TTRPGs are more fun when approached in this manner. āļø I will take you through an unforgettable custom-built adventure in a system designed from the ground up for just that purpose. In an environment and story built for you and your party, you will get to take chances, make mistakes, and push open the sides of the sandbox. š± Life is hard; Playing roleplaying games shouldn't be. Your time is precious, and will be respected - I pride myself on giving everyone the attention and spotlight they deserve, and giving you an experience that leaves you hyped for the next game, and great times to share with your friends.

Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a professional Game Master and when I'm lucky - occassional player - of TTRPGs specialising in Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition and Pathfinder 2E. I am passionate about creating an atmosphere of immersion for my games through theatrics, acting, sound effects, music, maps and illustrations for our games. I find it makes everyone more comfortable to play to their fullest :) I have run most of my games through FoundryVTT and know how to customise an adventure module to make it a memorable experience for any player. It is important for me to facilitate a respectful and warm space for everyone to play the characters they want and tell the stories they want. I hope we can build a memorable world together, slay together and stay together!

Creating your character
Characters currently level 4, a new character will start with standard gear and gold for that level. I am happy to collaboratively work together on character options that fit the theme of the campaign best. You're free to make anything you like within reason, of course - and if you're newer to the game, I will help you with any questions you have. Characters should be motivated to be part of, and continue working in, the new established Edgewatch Precinct as detectives, police officers and other supporting staff. Relationships to the city of Absalom, especially within the Precipiece District are highly encouraged as well. A player guide can be found here for further information; https://downloads.paizo.com/AgentsOfEdgewatch_PlayersGuide.pdf Current Party Makeup: šµ Human Investigator - Too Old For This Shit š¤ Pixie Gunslinger - A New Sheriff In Town āļø Android Alchemist - By-The-Book Rookie āļø Drow Cleric - Ex-Con Turned Sarenrite ā Free Archetype and additional Deputy Powers will be given to the party based on their performance later in the campaign
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Bring a friendly attitude and a good sense of humor! For those who are new to Pathfinder and have experience with D&D, welcome! This campaign is a great opportunity to learn the ropes of the system while leaning into some time-honored police-media tropes. I only request that you must have a working mic, and if you wish to have voice activation on, that you don't have excessive background noise or are willing to switch to push-to-talk if it becomes an issue. I use FoundryVTT and Discord as my methods for Roleplaying, though no experience is needed with Foundry to start - all you need is a bit of patience to learn, and we will teach. A Discord account is required. Besides that, no software is needed! Some recommended tools to assist in character creation would be Pathbuilder (free), and learning basic familiarity with the Foundry VTT tool controls is an asset, but not required. I love creating stories that I can share with my own friends, and I know you will too - I am running this campaign to put PF2e through it's paces as a system for great mechanical guidelines as well as storytelling opportunities.
What Robin brings to the table
Besides everything you'd expect from a virtual TTRPG module professionally prepared, you'll have access to a living investigator's board that details how you and your precinct have done in the campaign so far. Very useful for sharing stories with friends, looking up notes for things the group may have forgotten, or even just for having a good laugh about the good times and the bad. I also have a lot of purchased virtual content that I like to use - premium maps that I have made myself or have subscribed to, and my adventures are never limited to what's written in the campaign books. In fact this adventure has mostly been rebuilt from the ground up to allow for much more of an exploration of what being a "good cop" means.
Homebrew rules
Any weapon, feature or spell with the non-lethal tag is assumed to be non-lethal unless stated otherwise. The original adventure has a problematic system of allowing players to loot things as "evidence" and keep them. This basically turns what is supposed to be a unit of city protectors into glorified thugs. We're trying to stray away from the unfortunate cases given to us of unjust law enforcement in reality and play in a world where the protectors are proper representatives of the people. Gold and items instead will be rewarded to the party as salary, bonuses and gifts based on who they help, how well they perform and the reputation of the Precinct. This allows us to move away from being murderhobos and towards the tone of being actual detectives and police.

How Robin creates a safe table
Lines and veils document will be provided and followed. I like to have a session 0 where we lay all our expectations out on the table and make sure everyone's up for what's involved in the adventure, and usually this only takes 30 minutes or so. I have no problem changing the content of the adventure path to better suit people's comfort levels, as long as I'm told about it. If there are new players to Foundry and/or Pathfinder 2e, I ask for some patience as we spend a bit of time on Session 0/1 getting them familiar with the tools. At the end of each session, I do a Debrief that is similar to the Stars & Wishes system - to facilitate feedback and to highlight great moments from the game.
