About the adventure

For generations, all manner of people have been fascinated by Kroel. Scientists have plumbed its depths for new Pokemon and strange resources. Adventurers have quested for knowledge, sights, and more within the mists and mysteries of the land. Others have always been intrigued by the natural resources across the land, seeking to exploit Kroel for their own purposes. Almost all of them have failed, and left only bones at the end of their trails. In the modern era, this Lost World has eight cities across its lands, kept safe by mighty Trainers that have turned the region's ferocious Pokemon against their feral kin. Each of these cities is devoted to specific goals and purposes, and each one is surrounded by defensive walls and protective systems meant to keep the civilians safe. The region has a Gym circuit... but few actually manage to claim more than one badge, let alone all eight. So... are you going to be one of those grand few? The whole region is yours for the taking, assuming you and your Pokemon can even survive the wilds. Up for the challenge?

About me

I am a GM of nearly 20 years, having run games of all genres and sizes. I have run massive campaigns with over 30 players, and solo campaigns focused on deep stories with one person. I got my start by running forum-based campaigns after playing in a family game, and since then, I've expanded my repertoire to all manner of games. D&D, Pathfinder, FATE Core, Iron Kingdoms, and more are on my resume, and I always look forward to trying out new systems. Whatever you want to play, chances are pretty good that I can run it for you!

Character creation

Creating your character

During session zero, we will cover character creation and choosing the player's Starter Pokemon. Each character will start at level 1, and almost every option will be available for them to choose from. The exception is anything related to Shadow-type Pokemon - these will be completely unavailable.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You'll need to join my Discord! When you join, you'll receive the link to my server and be able to hop on in. After that, just let us know which game you're in for, and we'll set you up with the proper roles. The games will take place over Foundry VTT, and the links will be pinned in the proper Discord channels.

What Hawk brings to the table

I will bring everything - character tokens, homebrew Pokemon artwork, music, the Foundry server we'll play on, and more. I will encourage my players to think outside the box, be creative, and be flavorful with their role-playing - in fact, I'll reward the most creative and fluffy players with extra bonuses to their rolls!

Safety

How Hawk creates a safe table

During Session 0, we will go over the safety tools that I use. For clarity, I utilize Lines and Veils prior to the game starting, as well as X/N/O cards during the gameplay itself. After each session, if I feel it's necessary, I will provide aftercare and briefing to ensure there are no hard feelings between players or towards me. I will also regularly check in with everyone to make sure there aren't issues bubbling up under the surface.
