About the adventure
Nestled in the rolling hills of central Georgia, the small town of Canaan stands as an oasis during trying times of crop failures and economic strife. While much of the South has been hit with hard times, Canaan remains a beacon of Southern Hospitality and Good Christian Values. For whatever your personal reasons, you've all found yourselves coming to visit in May of 1984. Each of you has been drawn to Canaan by an inexplicable urge or a vague yet compelling reason—perhaps a cryptic letter from a relative, a strange dream, or a research project that pointed you to this seemingly idyllic town. But upon arrival, something has been clawing at the back of your mind. Something out of place, just out of sight, something that makes the little voice in your mind tell you to run and never look back. What exactly is going on in the little town of Canaan, is up to you to find out. Will you step out of the light, and into the shadows?

Creating your character
We will all go over character creation during the Session 0, but will be closely following the standard Call Of Cthulhu 7th Edition books' process. Before the session day, all I need from you is an idea you're a fan of. It could be anything, from a Wandering Priest who felt a calling to the sleepy town of Canaan to a Big City Reporter coming to try and dig up a scoop to make their name with. Keep in mind the time period (Mid 1980s) and try to keep things moderately realistic, but otherwise, be creative!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a Microphone, A Stable Internet Connection, and a Functioning Computer (PC or Laptop). I will be running this campaign in English Only, so please be Fluent enough to adequately communicate in English. A Discord and Roll20 account are also required, but both are entirely free to sign up for, and can be run on an Internet Browser with no downloads required. I will provide a copy of the Call Of Cthulhu 7th Edition Investigator's Handbook to all players myself, so you do not need to worry about purchasing any of the materials. If you already have the book in your possession, feel free to read up on the rules, but otherwise we will go over most of them together during a Dedicated Session 0.
What Obi-Wan brings to the table
This campaign will be held over Roll20, a Virtual Tabletop (VTT), to store Character Sheets, Perform Rolls, and View Maps/Art used to set the scene, along side Discord for the Voice Chat and Information Posting. As a GM, I do voices for all the NPCs my players meet along the way and have been told I am quite good at them. While I don't have an official catalog of work, I have done some very minor Voice Acting for Friends and have been a DM/Player of various TTRPGs for over a decade now, honing my craft all the while. I play music/ambiance for all of my sessions, doing my best to fit the current mood and stylings of the scene before you to make them as intense and enrapturing as possible. If I can make the rest of the world fade away as you get drawn so deeply into the scene, I've succeeded at my job. I tend to be a bit more on the Rules-Lite side of things for most of my systems. If you can give me a reasonable explanation for something, I tend to allow it at least once. I love allowing Rule Of Cool moments, so long as they aren't breaking the system too much or taking enjoyment away from other players. Overall, I'd like to think I am a fairly attentive and creative DM with a reasonable pool of experiences to draw upon to make my games as fun and inviting as possible for a wide array of people. I will do everything within my power to make this game (and any others I may run for any of you lovely people in the future) one to remember.

Safety
How Obi-Wan creates a safe table
As a GM, It is part of my job to make sure everyone feels safe, comfortable, and is enjoying the experience of my campaigns. I check in on people at the end of every session, make sure to take at least one break over the course of it, and do my best to make all my players feel welcome and allowed to speak up at any time if something is making them uncomfortable or if they need a moment to collect themselves. My session 0s are primarily designed to help get people accustomed to the system I'm using if they need it, introducing people to each other to make sure the group will work well together, and running over all the important details on each player's comfort levels. In addition to a dedicated Session 0 with the entire group, I always do my best to answer any questions sent to me in private between or before games, and help develop character ideas to the fullest.
