About the adventure
Welcome to Neverwinter, where heroism has been professionalized and monetized. This one shot is set in the Forgotten Realms and centers on a ruthless corporate problem: a prestigious heroes’ guild is hoarding powerful magic, and your employer (Aurum Ventures Limited) needs those assets immediately to prevent a catastrophic breach of contract. Your task is simple in theory and disastrous in practice: execute a hostile acquisition of the Honorable Adventuring Guild before an insatiable extraplanar entity makes good on its legal right to eat the city. The tone of the game is comedic, satirical, and epic in equal measure, inspired by Acquisitions Incorporated. Expect fantasy bureaucracy, paperwork, and combining the epics of heroism with the corporate ladder. Players can expect social manipulation, legal shenanigans, public duels, and dungeon-style infiltration, all within a single, densely packed location. This game is ideal for players who enjoy strong roleplay, clever problem-solving, and moral gray areas rather than straightforward dungeon crawls. Combat is present and meaningful, but it’s only one of many tools, as persuasion, sabotage, bribery, and theatrics are just as powerful. I also bring my acting and improv skills to the table, infusing life into non-player characters and crafting a dynamic narrative. My goal is to make every encounter unique and memorable, so you truly feel like you’re part of an expansive world! Lastly, I’ve set up a dedicated Discord server for our group, featuring channels for roleplay, character details, player feedback, and casual chat.
