About Nick

Hi! I'm Nick, and I've been a forever DM since before I knew that was a thing. I grew up on cartoons like Regular Show, Edd Edd and Eddy and Adventure Time, the kind of storytelling where (in some) the stakes are real, the humor is sharp, and somehow a mundane moment turns into an interdimensional crisis. That's the energy I bring to the table. I run games where NPCs have opinions, the world reacts to what you do, and no two sessions ever feel the same. Outside the game I'm a Youtuber, streamer and educator, which means I've spent years learning how to read a room, hold attention, and make characters feel alive. When you hear an NPC at my table, you'll know them. When you make a bold call, I'll find a way to make it land. I also run games with my IRL group on YouTube (D20 Dilemma: https://www.youtube.com/@D20Dilemma ) if you want to see exactly what you're signing up for before you commit. I run in English and Macedonian, so if you've ever wanted to play D&D in your native tongue, reach out!

My favorite shows/movies are

- Regular show (GOATED) - Adventure Time - Angelo Rules - Edd, Edd and Eddy - Invincible - Shawshank Redemption - Chowder - The Boys - Rush Hour - Shanghai Noon - The Hateful Eight - The Green Mile - Band of Brothers/Pacific/Masters of the Air

My favorite system of all Time is

D&D 5E! This system is the one that originally got me playing TTRPG's and will remain having a special place in my heart.

People are always surprised when I tell them

When I first started learning English, I thought that the New York accent was the default American accent.

How Nick runs games

My games sit around 30% combat, 45% roleplay, 25% exploration! Although I move that dial depending on the party. A few things I'm known for at the table: - Rule of Cool is real. If you come up with something clever or insane, I'll find a way to make it work. The rules exist to serve the story, not the other way around. - The "I Know a Guy" technique. Need a connection, a piece of backstory, a detail about your character's past on the fly? Just ask. I'll give you a real answer in the moment so we keep moving. Your backstory is a plot thread. I build campaigns around my players. Your history shows up. Your goals drive the story. Weekly recaps, quality maps, handouts, and full Roll20 support. I don't show up unprepared. I run both homebrew and official modules, always tailored to the group at the table.

I deal with rules issues by...

Looking it up quickly, but if not available we'll roll with whatever ruling I come up and alter future situations with the proper ruling.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...

MICHAEL BAY for some :) but Martin Scorsese for most.

My favorite trope is...

The lovable pet that was initially meant to not be anything meaningful but becomes the parties favorite character in the world, and my party will beat me up if I kill it :D

Nick's ideal table

You'll fit in here if you like the idea of a session that might end with your party negotiating a peace treaty, accidentally starting a bar fight, and then absolutely winning that bar fight, all in the same night! I want players who engage with the world, not just their character sheets. Ask questions. Take risks. If your plan probably shouldn't work but it's brilliant, try it! This is also a table where new players are genuinely welcome. I've taught dozens of people how to play. There's no assumed knowledge, it's just all about having good games. One thing I care about: keep it rolling during the session. Rules disputes are valid, we'll talk about them after. Momentum is everything.

I am for a vibe that's...

You're coming back from a long days work and you're just looking to play some D&D!

I love it when a player

Takes the initiative and asks if their character would know a certain thing during the session, instead of limiting themselves to only things we talked about during their character creation.

I think it's a red flag when players...

Continue arguing after a ruling is made during the game. Keep it rolling! We'll talk about it later and make changes as needed.
