About the adventure

About me
Hello. My name is Shane. I was introduced to RPGs when I was 12 years old and was hooked from that very first session. I have been playing and running RPGs, on and off, for the past four decades and hope to continue for many more! I have run many different games and genres, but my favorite is fantasy RPGs. My GM strengths are involving players, improvising scenes, and game pacing. I have run games for a wide variety of people over the years. By my count, I have gamed with about 450-500 people over the years and would be honored to be your GM.

Creating your character
I will work with you to create your unique characters and seamlessly integrate them into the campaign after you have joined our Discord and Roll20 channels. Your characters will begin play at 3rd level and will be built using Standard Array (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8) or Point Cost (27 points) for Ability Scores. You may use the following sources to build your character, all of which I will share with you on Roll20: 🔹Player's Handbook (2024) 🔹Chronicles of Eberron 🔹Eberron: Forge of the Artificer 🔹Eberron: Rising from the Last War 🔹Exploring Eberron 🔹Frontiers of Eberron: Quickstone 🔹Tasha's Cauldron of Everything 🔹Xanathar's Guide to Everything We'll use Roll20's D&D (2024) character sheet in this game and I will work with you to make the process of bringing your character to the VTT as easy as possible.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a desktop or laptop computer with a dedicated microphone for Discord voice chat. You'll also need a Discord account and a Roll20 account (both are free). Please note, Roll20 works best on a computer and doesn't work very well on a phone or tablet. You don't need to know how to play D&D, use Roll20, or Discord to join this game. I will guide you through onboarding and make it easy to join this campaign. While it will be helpful if you already have rulebooks and/or know how to play--you don't need to. This is a perfect campaign for complete beginners!
