About the adventure
When you play CYPHER, you and your new friends tell a story, almost as if you're writing a comic together, each of you taking on the roles of the main characters in the story. Actual play is like a conversation, with you and your friends talking about those characters, what they do, and what happens. You're each co-authors and readers; you get to guide where the story goes, and you get to be excited when it goes somewhere you never expected. CYPHER has rules that compliment character creation in a way that makes you feel unique and well-designed, even compared to others. No one is overpowered or underpowered. You can create a superhero that aligns well with your vision and we will see them in action doing awesome things! It's a d20 system but doesn't have "modifiers" rather, narrative elements that make the target number easier or harder to exceed.

Meet the Game Master
About me
[I RUN DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS 2024 EDITION] "Ryan does an incredible job making you feel included and make you feel comfortable with speaking your ideas. He tells you the mechanics of how to achieve your ideas and enjoys your successes with you. "200+ games sitting at this man's table I feel more than qualified to tell you that Ryan is a fantastic DM. He is knowledgeable of the rules, but tends to help you find ways to subvert them just enough to keep the most important rule of all. The rule of cool." Hello! Thanks for considering me to be your Game Master (GM)! My name is Ryan and I can take you on an exciting adventure! It started for me back in high school, almost ten years ago. My best friend and were always drafting up board games and were eventually introduced to tabletop roleplaying games (TTRPGs) through a mutual friend who GMed for us. I loved how much more immersed and interactive a roleplaying game was compared to the board games and video games I grew up playing. Needless to say, I was hooked! Through my time as a GM since then, I've helped tables develop a community aspect. Here you don't just show up and leave on time like some 9-5 job, you're here to make memories with some awesome players who love the game as much as you. No matter who you are or what you believe, let's have fun together and see our heroes in exciting action against mighty foes!

Creating your character
Players may opt to make characters before joining, but are not required to do ahead of time. I'll help players create and complete characters during our Session Zero, and provide the resources needed to do so. Or if you join after, we'll schedule a half-priced paid 1-1. All heroes are unique and built similarly. You can create them, with a free account here: https://tools.cypher-system.com/
Brand new start, join in! Beginner and experienced alike. I am a new GM for the system with new players ready to learn and play!
