About the adventure
ƬǶƸ ƬⰙⱲƸⱤ Ⳝ𐤠Ɠ𐤠 𐤠 ⱲⰙⱤȴƊ ƁƸⱤƸƑƬ ⰙƑ 𐒄𐤠ƓƖƇ Long ago, the world was not unlike our own. Magic and monsters only existed in tales, legends and myths. The people of the world toiled away in their mundanity, fought over land and died in obscurity. Civilizations rose and fell by whim of the land and sea, lost to the entropy of time. 𐤠 ⱲⰙⱤȴƊ ƑⰙⱤƸƲƸⱤ ƇǶ𐤠ƝƓƸƊ In the last age, mysterious towers began to emerge from the earth. Scattered across the globe, these towers spewed forth creatures of unimaginable power. At great cost, the monsters were pushed back from whence they came. Eventually, the people went on the offense, finding portals to these other realms housed within each tower. These realms were beyond even their wildest imagination, giving birth to real magic and powerful artifacts. Entire economies and nations began to form around each tower, using them as a seat of power. These nations now rule over the world by controlling and limiting the flow of magic. ꝒⰙⱤƬ𐤠ȴ ƊƖƲƸⱤⳜ With the emergence of the towers, magic was introduced into the world. This magic began to influence the realm and those that inhabit it. While some people grew sick and died, others gained a newfound ability to draw power from the portals and their denizens through combat. Those brave enough to enter the portals became known as Portal Divers. Seeking glory and riches, many enter, but few return. Those that do become icons, legends to the people, and hold great power within their respective nations. 𐒄ƖƝƖƝƓ ƇⰙⱤꝒⳜ The mining corps is a less respected or recognized organization that enters after the portal divers to salvage any magical crystals and monster corpses to fuel the new and booming industry. While still taking great risk, the miners are seen as simple workers and generally have little to no combat ability. It isn't glamorous, but someone has to do it. 𐒄ꓴȴƬƖ-ƓⱤⰙꓴꝒ ƓꓴƖȴƊ There will be several different parties running this campaign simultaneously, all members of the same guild. Any loot and treasure you bring back for the guild is accessible by all parties. Tales of triumph, and defeat, will be shared throughout the guild. Friendly rivalries, competitions and more 𐤠ƊƲƸƝƬꓴⱤƸ 𐤠Ⱳ𐤠ƖƬⳜ As a member of the mining corps, you prepare yourself for the latest job. It is just like every other one before it, but you have a good squad. It has been a week since anyone on your crew has died to alien flora or fauna, putting you on top of the charts. As long as the divers do their job, you can do yours.. And the guild has provided you the best. 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐬 The campaign will be using D&D 5e as the base ruleset. Each week there will be a series of portals that open in the tower, each one leading to a different world. Which one you delve into is up to the party, those portals that remain will be tackled by other groups, either by your guild or others (npc rival adventurers.)

About me
Hello and thank you for your interest! I am rather new to DMing. For most of my life, I never had the chance to even play Dungeons & Dragons, or TTRPGs in general for that matter. Thanks to certain events in the early 2020s, online TTRPGs were brought to my attention. I have since played in a few games and begun running my own. So far I have ran a Fallout TTRPG campaign and a D&D 5e playthrough of Phandelver and Below (now running a second campaign using this module, it is really fun once you fix the dissonance between the first and second half.) I would very much like to become a 'professional' DM one day, but that requires experience. They say it takes 1000 hours to master a craft, so perhaps in 250 sessions or so I can begin to consider myself a 'professional'. Until then, I intend on running free games for the experience and the enjoyment of meeting likeminded folk!

What Halcyon Star brings to the table
🎯 𝕿𝖆𝖈𝖙𝖎𝖈𝖆𝖑 𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖇𝖆𝖙. The party will have to think on their feet and utilize all of their skills to come out ahead. There may be times where monsters are more powerful than the party, but with a little planning and luck, they can prevail! 🏕️ 𝕾𝖚𝖗𝖛𝖎𝖛𝖆𝖑. Each portal shall introduce you to a new world and with it, new challenges. 📖 𝕽𝖚𝖑𝖊𝖘 𝖆𝖘 𝖜𝖗𝖎𝖙𝖙𝖊𝖓. We will be following the rules as written, they are there to bring structure and balance to the game. Of course, with proper planning and great ideas, sometimes the rules can be broken. 🎲 𝕹𝖔 𝖋𝖚𝖉𝖌𝖊𝖉 𝖉𝖎𝖈𝖊. Dice rolls are the heart of this game. All of my rolls will be made in the open. I will NEVER fudge dice rolls.
