About the adventure

The setting is my own world Keldaer, a land left behind by the New Gods, closed to the Forgotten Gods, and left in the care of the Feint Divinities, who seem more than a bit indifferent to it all. Aetherweavers are rare, and magic is poorly understood—if understood at all—by the common folk. City-states govern what remains after the World Tree burned and the Mortal Realm was cut off from the worlds it once connected. This is a land with a mythic past and a strange but mundane present, where peoples from across the planes have settled and tried to move on from old wars. History is vague and the present uncertain, as most now live behind city walls to avoid the dangers left behind by otherworldly beings who once used Keldaer as their battlefield. This particular story takes place in Saros, a crossroads of trade and a cultural nexus now battening down for the Long Night—a time of year when darkness reigns for three weeks before dawn returns. Someone or something is setting ritual fires under the cover of night, leaving behind ash and twisted monstrosities. Lord Kembry is desperate for help and has called upon you to put an end to it. About me

I’ve been DMing for 20 years now. I’m good at weaving in character backstories and making even published adventures feel personal. I try to promote comfort at the table but keep it professional at the same time. I allow players to play how they want and encourage them to meander through the plot, seek out the side quests and have some player to player RP moments. I stay engaged with the players throughout the campaign asking what they liked or what they would like to see next and try to make sure everyone gets the experience they signed up for. I’ve been doing this long enough to know what I’m doing. At the same time I never let that get in the way of trying to improve or allow it to give me a know-it-all-mentality.

Creating your character

Character creation will be done together during session 0 using Demiplane for character sheets, and content.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a webcam, a microphone and a quiet place to play. Also, create a free demiplane account and roll20 account if you don’t already have them.

What DM Kayden brings to the table

I am good with voices, detailed narration and curating custom playlists to set the mood.

How DM Kayden creates a safe table

We will discuss what is and isn’t ok during gameplay at session zero. Beyond that, if something triggers you I encourage you to step away and message me so that I can address it. Be vocal and I will make sure everyone is treated with the care we all deserve.
