About the adventure
Stonetop is a soon-to-be-released Powered-by-the-Apocalypse "hearth fantasy" game in a low-magic iron age setting. In this world, you are the heroes and protectors of a primitive settlement in a volatile world of questionable magic. This setting is highly customized by the players - Session Zero includes a lot of world customization during character creation (for example, the playbooks/classes associated with deities decide what that deity and their worship is like), and I use a “play to find out” style of play so my players have significant control over the plot. "The last time anyone saw the Forest Folk was over a decade ago. Why? Let's find out." I don’t yet have a story in mind - that will emerge from players’ decisions during session zero. This is a theater-of-the-mind game and we will be playing on Discord voice/video, so no VTTs are necessary. I will provide PDFs of player sheets and rule reference materials. You don’t need to know how to play - I can teach that quickly, and if you’ve played any PbtA games, you already know 90% of it.

About me
IT professional by day, forever-GM on the weekends. I have been GMing my home table almost weekly since 2016, with an emphasis on player-focused, theater of the mind, sandbox campaigns. I focus on indie RPGs as well as smaller publishers like Free League and EDGE. My absolute favorite RPG is Stonetop, an almost-published indie offshoot of Dungeon World, for which I was a beta GM before/during/after the game's Kickstarter run. At my table, you will find an engaging, player-focused story where your characters are the star and your decisions matter.

Player safety and comfort are a priority for me. To that end, I use X, O, and N Cards, which players can utilize in any format they wish - speak aloud, DM me, signal on camera, etc. I also have an Open Door Policy - if you need to remove yourself from the situation, please do so, no questions asked.
