About the adventure
Description: IPSN is one of the four major corporations in Union occupied space. Aside from mech production and chartering services, IPSN also prides themselves in their capabilities to handle miscreants that attempt to sneak under their trade lines and disrupt cross ring business. The Bloodhounds Mercenary Company are infamous for their numerous assassinations and grand larcenies across union space, they have been able to operate under the radar up until just now. Latest info from IPSN, has pinged their illegal blink signal towards a faraway diasporan planet. In response, you are part of an elite task force hastily collected together by IPSN, to hunt down and exterminate the mercenary company at this planet. There are an estimate of close to a dozen and a half mech pilots within the mercenary company and you are not to proceed without careful consideration. Good news is, you all are extremely gifted pilots, most would even call you "Lancers", if anyone is able to finish the job, it would be you. Gameplay Details: I typically run my games with more narrative focus, meaning enemy pilots talk to you in combat, with narrative play taking a bigger role in the overall story as opposed to typical combat heavy modules. As I view combat really as the climax and clash of narrative pretenses. In that sense it is very anime/gundam/gurren-lagann coded.

About me
My favorite games to GM are CAIN and LANCER, In a sense they are polar opposites in terms of Game systems but in my eyes they both stand as phenomenal emotion driven story-telling engines. I'm a relatively newer DM compared to the others on this site, but I bring a fresh pair of eyeballs on the hobby and am more than happy to have beginners come and join the table, judgement free. I stand hold only 1 rule, "Get more engaged in your party member's stories than even your own." That to me has always been the key to having a fun time as a group and fulfilling your wildest supernatural or mechanical fantasies. I'm also an artist on the side, so feel free to ask me for commissions and such, my games typically already come with me drawing a portrait for your pc or what not when you start making your character. Also been looking into mythic bastionland lately, might run that sooner or later...... keep ya eyes peeled.

Creating your character
I would like all players to message me a rough character concept or mech build before we start session zero just so I get a general gist of things. More importantly as I emphasize, session zero will be to complete your character and fit them into the short story.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Prepare an account for foundry and discord, then send me a general concept for a character, more importantly a very simple motivation/reason for the character to fight in a big mech.
What Grit brings to the table
I primarily like to Gm in a way that ties your character into the story or combat. Bringing spotlight and chances to be the hero in specific encounters and events. Combat will be tactical and I expect players to earn/have a degree of game sense throughout the campaign. However, it is to note that LANCER is a pretty crunchy system, although I still recommend to try things outside of the box and utilize abilities in unique manners within the scopes of the rules (though I do play by rule of cool when possible). Sometimes the best moments are when you just follow your creative side. Expect a mesh between Roleplay and Combat scenarios, with each session more or so heavily emphasizing on one aspect specifically. As my combat scenarios are more thought out and tough , they can continue for a better part of a session. I do also have my commissions open for artwork/portrait for your pilots or mech.
