About the adventure

You awaken in Barovia, a land ruled by a vampire who watches from a castle in the clouds and calls you guests. Here, hope is contraband. Trust is dangerous. Creating your character
Character creation will take place before and during session 0, and I’ll work closely with each player to ensure your character fits the themes and tone of the campaign. I’m happy to help you brainstorm concepts, refine backstories, or figure out mechanics. Starting Level: 1 Stat Generation: Standard Array or Point Buy Hit Points: Max at level 1, fixed average after Books Allowed: All official 5e content. Character Sheets: Created and managed in Foundry VTT. During Session Zero, we’ll align expectations, establish party connections and finalize any character details. My goal is to ensure your character feels meaningful to the world and supported by the narrative from the very first session. All players, new or experienced, are welcome. If you need help building a character, I’m happy to walk you through the process step by step.

Players are required to have a proper working microphone. Webcam is not a requirement but highly encourage as this will greatly help us all have a better game.
What Gavin brings to the table
I run a roleplay heavy game where you'll immerse yourself in the world and the colourful range of characters all voiced by me. Character voices for you are not mandatory but are welcome. I use background music/ambiance through a discord bot, sound effects are also occasionally used. I run a simple, efficient, fast paced combat style so things don't drag on for hours but don't expect an easy ride.

After all, navigating through encounters that range from manageable to downright perilous is what keeps the adrenaline pumping and the world feeling alive. Now, let's talk expectations: punctuality is key, and I do ask that everyone commits to the full session unless real-life emergencies crop up. Staying in character adds depth to our tale, and let's steer clear of metagaming to keep the immersion intact. This is a mature game, meaning any topic might arise during our adventures. If there are any boundaries you'd like to set, just shoot me a message, and I'll make sure we respect them. Oh, and don't worry about hunger or nature's call interrupting our fun – we'll take a 5 to 10 minute break mid-session for snacks, drinks, and bio breaks.
