About the adventure
Welcome to The Tangled Skein, a tavern where retired adventurers have hung up their weapons and picked up their needles. Our establishment isn't just a place for weary travelers to rest—it's become the heart of the local crafting community, where colorful yarn art adorns every wall and crafters gather to share their skills, stories, and creations. This is a game about transition and healing. Your characters are former adventurers learning to integrate back into typical society, trading combat for creativity, and finding new purpose in running a tavern that celebrates both hospitality and handicrafts. Through a collection of narrative mini-games, we'll explore what it means to put down roots, build community, and discover that there's as much courage in vulnerability as there ever was in battle.

About me
I'm a storyteller, strategist, and gamer. I enjoy running narrative-driven campaigns that balance character-centered drama, and a good dash of chaos and humor. My tables are safe, inclusive spaces where collaboration and creativity thrive. I’ve GM’d across systems including Blades in the Dark, Chronicles of Darkness, and indie TTRPGs. I specialize in interesting twists, playing to lose, and making player choices matter. Outside the table, I’m a communications professional and narrative designer who loves helping people tell their own stories. If you’re looking for a GM who can blend storytelling, strategy, and heart, you’ve found her. Let’s roll some dice and make something unforgettable together.

Creating your character
We'll create our characters in Roll20 during the first session - and create the specifics of the tavern (and town) together. It goes pretty quickly. I also have premade retired adventurers that you can choose from instead.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We'll be using Roll20 for audio and for play, so all you'll need is the invitation link to the campaign.
What Bluebird brings to the table
You're in for fun voices and lovely tavern music! This campaign won't have physical combat, though your characters may face physical obstacles. This is a very rules light game, but there's a number of mechanics we'll follow based on the mini-game we're playing. Where needed, I will arbitrate if a consensus can't be reached.
Homebrew rules
I plan to stick to rules as written, but if we discover a need to adjust, we will, and the homebrew rule will take precedent going forward.

How Bluebird creates a safe table
Stewpot has built in safety tools, including taking breaks, debriefing, and holds. I will also use Roll20's digital X card, which flashes on screen for all players.
