About the adventure
"Recon. Just recon. A task simple enough for neophytes. Travel forth to the ruined fort on Droomen Knoll. Scout the area so we can put these Crookhorn rumors to bed. Report back with proof should ye see these mangey devil-goats... if they're even there. Your pay will be waiting." — Sergeant Bregson, of the Lankshorn Constabulary 🧭 Explore the wild places of Dolmenwood, traveling through bramble-choked dells, fungal forests, and accursed bogland, bedding down among root and bracken amid the nocturnal babbling of strange beasts. 👑 Unearth treasure hoards in forgotten fairy ruins, haunted manors, dripping caverns, crystal grottoes, unhallowed barrow mounds, and abandoned delvings. 🧌 Confront fell beasts, roving fungal monstrosities, terrible wyrms, tricksome fairies, and restless spirits of the long deceased. And more: 🆓 Free Session Zero 🏰 An introductory adventure followed by... 🏖️ 200 hexes to explore 🤝 High degree of player agency 📚 Dolmenwood Player's Book required 💳 Paying is Optional* * (I’m happy to waive session fees or work out different rates per your financial situation.)

About me
I’m a lifelong nerd and gamer, a dad, a husband, and a product designer. I have a fond nostalgia for fantasy and sci-fi media from the 80s to the 00s. I am a former 5e DM who has become a (mostly) OSR referee with a preference for Mörk Borg and its clones. Lately, I’ve been on a history binge. Mostly reading up on the golden age of piracy and the Spanish War of Succession that preceded it.

Creating your character
We'll roll up characters together during session zero (or your first session). I highly encourage random generation, but you're free to make your own choices during character creation too. Lean into the lore! - The Kindred (races) and classes in the Dolmenwood Player's Book are available to you. - We will not be using 3rd party or OSE races/classes.

Safety
How Phil, the Wizard of Odd creates a safe table
Before your first session... We’ll cover character creation, content warnings, and player boundaries. Each session end with a casual debrief. ⚠️ Being "that player" ⚠️ Breaking other player boundaries: Players have one warning before being immediately removed from the game after a second offense. Terrible behavior, antagonizing other players, and trolling will result in immediate removal.
