Within these ancient walls, the books whisper of you—of your deeds, your follies, and the perils only you might withstand. Of late, the library has grown… restless. Each volume is a doorway. You will be asked to untangle riddles, face spirits that despise the living, and shield the lore that must never fall into unworthy hands. Not to mention all the cats that need petting and tea that needs drinking. Therefore, by quill and seal, you are entreated to come to Candlekeep with all swiftness your travels permit. Bring your courage, your wit, and whatever steel or spell you trust most, for within these pages knowledge is certainly power. If your hearts are steady and your curiosity stronger than your fear, present yourselves at the great gates and ask for the scribe who penned this letter. Your next adventure waits upon the turning of a single page.

Creating your character
We use DNDBeyond or Dicecloud to create characters. We will be using the Discord bot Avrae for rolls, checks, saves, etc. Don't worry if you don't have experience with these things, I am happy to help guide people through. I also have Tupperbox, which players can use if they'd like, though this is not a requirement.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account and either a Dicecloud or DNDBeyond account (all of which are free).
What apheline brings to the table
I run a fairly active D&D PbP server where you can chat with other players. There will be In-Character and Out-of-Character channels as well as channels for maps, resources, party loot, etc. We may also use a virtual tabletop such as QuestLine or Owlbear Rodeo. You will never have to pay for extras, VTTs, etc at my table.
Homebrew rules
I am happy to work with homebrewed or non-standard D&D materials as long as they aren't game breaking or make the game less fun for others.
