About the adventure

Welcome to Geb, an undead nation where power is eternal, ambition has no pulse, and the truly talented rise from the grave better than they were in life. In this campaign, you serve the Bone Sages, rulers of a necromantic empire whose quiet streets, ghostly estates, and skeletal bureaucracies hide layers of treachery. Court politics here is as dangerous as any battlefield, and one wrong ally can spell your doom whether by poison, spellcraft, or slow consumption by the hungry dead. Blood Lords is a campaign of political maneuvering, grim investigation, and morally gray choices. You'll expose conspiracies buried under centuries of undead tradition, negotiate with vampires, ghouls, liches, and ghosts, and contend with rivals who covet the same power you do. Every success brings you closer to the upper echelons of Geb’s government… but every failure feeds the empire’s many appetites. This game is perfect for players who love intrigue, scheming, dark humor, and the thrill of outplaying enemies in a world where death is a minor inconvenience. It rewards bold decisions, clever plans, and a willingness to embrace Geb's macabre elegance. Whether you're a necromancer hungry for influence, a living envoy proving your worth, or something far stranger, you’ll carve your place in the empire one ally, enemy, and corpse at a time. If you want a campaign where you can rise to true power in a land ruled by the dead, Geb is waiting.

About me

I always loved creating fascinating stories and situations for player characters to react and solve. My promise is that sessions will be engaging, intense, and dramatic, as we experience the stories of the world and our characters unfold before our eyes. Writing this after doing over 40 sessions for SPG. I first got into DMing for DnD for family and friends, eventually branching out to online communities. While I maintain those sessions I also was curious if I could make a living out of being a DM as all of the players I DMed for showed enthusiastic support and eagerness for each and every session. Branching out to SPG I started with just a single session, and they loved it. Then when Dragonlance released I put out a few more sessions that wouldn't conflict with my work schedule and with all of their enthusiastic love, support and encouragement for me as a DM and for the stories we tell as well as their eagerness for next session "Is it (session day) yet?" I decided to try to make this silly hobby a full time job. I would not be doing this without the massive amount of support and encouragement from my players. With that, I would like to invite you to join our community. I have been making stories with systems similar to DnD since I was in Highschool. When I started playing DnD and eventually gained the confidence to become a DM in every game I was in my players kept asking me to extend the session length, even upwards of lasting the whole day. Then when I learned people have made a living doing this I decided to reach out to StartPlayGames and see what I can add to this community!

What Count Camerox brings to the table

When you sit at my table, you get a PF2e experience that balances political intrigue, tactical combat, and cinematic storytelling. Blood Lords is a campaign about ambition, scheming, and power, and I run it with a tone that matches: dramatic, darkly humorous, and full of opportunity for clever players to shine. I use distinct character voices, shifting tones, and strong NPC personalities to bring Geb’s undead courts to life including aloof vampires to petty ghoulish bureaucrats. To enhance the atmosphere, expect ambient music, thematic battle tracks, and sound cues to set the mood for tense negotiations, eerie exploration, or explosive confrontations. Combat in my games is tactical, challenging, and fair. I play PF2e as it’s meant to be played: tight mechanics, meaningful positioning, and smart resource use matter, but I always prioritize fun over strictness. If a clever plan is almost possible, I lean into the Rule of Cool as long as it fits the tone and doesn’t break system integrity. I give players frequent opportunities for character-driven decisions, political leverage, and personal arcs tied to Geb’s macabre society. I encourage creative problem solving, bold schemes, and dramatic choices and I support players who want to leave a mark on the setting, whether through diplomacy, necromancy, subterfuge, or sheer audacity. My goal is simple: to give you a campaign where you feel powerful, challenged, and immersed, and where every session ends with you wanting to climb just one step higher in Geb’s deadly hierarchy.

Safety

How Count Camerox creates a safe table

During the Session 0 I will go over possible popular triggers that we might want to edit out, if anyone has any specific lines that they do not want crossed, we can find a way to accommodate and change the narrative if there is a potential for one to be crossed.
