About the adventure
Help the kingdom tackle the aftermath of war as ambitious factions seek to take advantage of the political instability. Perhaps you were on the fated battlefield? When rivaling factions put aside their differences, united together and led an assault against a powerful necromancer known as Thou Bane. Or maybe you were praying with family and loved ones at home as you awaited the news? From the lowly pickpocket to the highest noble, everyone rejoiced when the battle was won and the evil that had been plaguing the continent for years was vanquished. After signing up to a recruitment drive, your adventure begins by unraveling the conspiracies and schemes that plague the bustling coastal city on the eastern edge of the kingdom. Investigate the criminal underbelly and the profiteers of war as you unravel the truth behind a grisly murder. From there, you'll uncover a plot that will lead you across the kingdom to counter a new rising threat, explore the depths of ancient ruins, and discover secrets that should have been lost forever. As ambitious men conspire and the status quo is questioned, how will you shape the kingdom's fate?

About me
Hi! I'm Ava and I've been passionately running Dungeons and Dragons since the 2020 Lockdown when my university friends were looking for something to do while indoors. Ever since then I've fallen in love with crafting worlds and stories, watching as my players have fun with their characters in moments that range from hilarious to heart-wrenching. In my years of DMing, I've played with both veterans of DnD and fresh beginners, ensuring that everyone is welcome at the table. In that time, I've also honed my skills in improvising roleplay and ensuring that each player gets their time in the spotlight. In my spare time, I also design battlemaps using Inkarnate that feature heavily in my homegames. I've DMed for two games that ran from level 1-20 over the course of 3 and a half years. For games that span a long time, I aim to incorporate player's backstories into the adventure, progressing their goals and development along the journey.

Creating your character
Players will create their characters in DnDBeyond during session zero. For beginners, I typically start the group at level 1, otherwise if everyone's comfortable we can begin at level 2. Stats will be allotted via the Point Buy method. We’ll be using the official rules for races and classes and you’re welcome to choose anything from official Wizards of the Coast sources.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you will need is a mic, a discord account and a free DNDBeyond account.
What Ava brings to the table
Awesome maps both from Patreon mapmakers like Czepeku, and battlemaps that I also create in Inkarnate. Cool monster and NPC tokens from artists like Forgotten Adventures and Venatus Maps. Thematic music for immersion and battles. Memorable NPCs and villains. A world rich with lore and quests.
