About the adventure
Alice Is Missing is a silent, emotional, real-time mystery game played entirely through text messages. Set in the small town of Silent Falls, players take on the roles of friends, classmates, and people who cared about Alice Briarwood — a teenager who has suddenly gone missing. As the 90-minute timer winds down, your characters will uncover secrets, confront their fears, and piece together the truth—whatever that truth may be. This game is run silently. Players will not know what happened to Alice beforehand; the mystery is discovered organically as the timer advances and prompts emerge. The silence, the tension, and the emotional reveals are the centerpiece of the experience. The tone of the session is heartfelt, dramatic, and human. It is a game about relationships, community, fear, hope, and the difficult truths that surface when someone you care about disappears. While the subject matter can be heavy, it is also deeply meaningful and cathartic when played with care. This session is ideal for players who enjoy narrative-driven games, emotional roleplay, slow-burn tension, and collaborative storytelling. No prior experience is required — only a willingness to immerse yourself in the story and express your character through messages rather than spoken dialogue.

About me
Hey there! I’m Bearman — a GM who loves running atmospheric, story-driven games where players get to immerse, explore, and make meaningful choices. I run a mix of systems including Alice Is Missing, Deathmatch Island, Call of Cthulhu 7E, D&D 5E, and cozy-weird narrative games like Kids on Bikes and Kids on Brooms. My tables focus on collaborative storytelling, emotional moments, mystery, and character-driven play, whether we’re solving a disappearance, navigating cosmic horror, or exploring a strange small town full of secrets. I aim for a welcoming, low-pressure environment where new and experienced players can jump in and have a great time. Safety tools are always part of the setup, and I’m happy to adjust tone and intensity to fit the group. If you enjoy narrative games, cool vibes, and memorable one-shots, you’ll fit right in. Looking forward to rolling (or texting, or investigating) with you!

Creating your character
Character creation will take place at the start of the session on Discord via voice. Alice Is Missing uses structured character sheets with built-in drives, relationships, and prompts, so no prior prep is needed. Players will: - Choose a character card - Establish their relationships to Alice and each other - Personalize traits and emotional connections - Review secret cards (distributed once the timer begins) No outside materials or rulebooks are needed. Everything is guided step-by-step, and no one has to write a detailed backstory. The system is designed to give you tone and direction immediately.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before the session, players should: - Join my Discord server (link provided after booking) - Make sure their mic works (voice is used only during setup) - Be ready to communicate through typing or texting during the game - Optional: use headphones for a more immersive atmosphere (music plays during the 90 minute game time) Players do not need to read the rules beforehand — the entire system is taught in minutes.
What Scott "Bearman" Wilson brings to the table
As your GM/Facilitator, I provide: - A guided, emotionally safe introduction to the system - The complete Pixel Table module for the game - A structured, cinematic pacing that matches the real-time tension - Ambient music (optional) - Clear onboarding and expectations - A respectful environment that prioritizes emotional authenticity - Post-game decompression and aftercare My style emphasizes collaborative storytelling, character-driven emotional beats, and letting the mystery unfold naturally. I facilitate gently — this is a player-led experience, and I’m here to support the tone, safety, and flow.

Safety
How Scott "Bearman" Wilson creates a safe table
Alice Is Missing deals with heavy themes, so I take safety extremely seriously. My safety practices include: - A Session 0 discussion of tone, boundaries, and emotional comfort - Use of Lines & Veils, X/N/O Cards, and private messaging options - A short anonymous consent survey before the game - A structured cool-down and aftercare discussion after the game - Clear reassurance that players may pause or step away at any time - No judgment or pressure for using safety tools — ever The game is emotional, but it should never be unsafe.
