Welcome to New Texas, friendo. The skies are big, the boots are bigger, and the shopping is downright UGLY. Plug's Butt Ugly Stuff Hut is throwin' its first-ever BUTT UGLY BEAUTY PAGEANT to find the butt-ugliest stuff in the galaxy! Grab your friends and your ugliest stuff, and compete in a series of wild challenges to win the Grand Prize: a year's worth of Plug's "premium" merchandise and (more importantly) legendary bragging rights across the whole got-dang asteroid belt. Loud colors, weird locals, and more duct-taped contractions than any self-respectin' storefront should legally be allowed to sell! Grab your friends, shine up your least-fashionable shoes, and throw that ugly hat in the ring! Whether you’re here to test your mettle, make a name for yourself, or just survive whatever Plug calls “team-building exercises,” this is your shot at butt ugly glory. Step on up and join the Showdown! New Texas is waitin’, and winnin' ain't pretty! Players will work together before the adventure to come up with the ugliest thing they can think of, and enter this into Plug's new contest. Our heroes will travel to New Texas, interact with rival contestants, deal with some downright ugly things that go awry, and discover the the beauty of the Butt Ugly. This is a zany, irreverant, creative adventure for players of all ages. It's part sci-fi, part western, and part comedy romp. A mix of a dog show, talent show, costume contest, beauty pageant, and demolition derby.

About me
Hi, I’m Brandon! I’ve been playing TTRPGs for 20 years... well, really much longer than that if you include tiny cameos in my dad's games in the 90's! 😆 But yes, I've been playing D&D since 3rd Edition, and DMing for the better part of 10 years now. I enjoy playing other systems, as well as modifying the D&D system to fit nontraditional settings. I have a degree in game design with a focus on level design, technical art, and environment art. With that comes a passion for mechanics and design, for crafting challenges and encouraging creative gameplay... and also for being surprised when emergent play catches you off-guard. I’m currently running two longform D&D campaigns on Roll20/Discord.

Creating your character
Characters will be created using the normal Daggerheart rules, and linking your character to Roll20. All character creation options are available, and we will be reskinning the basic options to fit the Starstruck science fiction setting. Characters should be created before the session begins, but once you join our Discord I will be happy to help you with either building the character or making sure they're integrated into the world. Once you join the game, you will receive access to our Demiplane content sharing so that all the character options are available to you.

How Brandon // Arcade Abyssal creates a safe table
We will be using Lines & Veils, and be discussing those before the game begins. I provide aftercare with an open door policy, and by making myself available for at least 15 minutes before and after every game session to speak publicly or privately. I allow for X-cards to be messaged privately or called out over voice/video at any time. I also prefer to employ debriefing and Stars & Wishes for as many players as would like to engage on that level.
