About the adventure
Step into the borderlands, a fronteir of mystery and danger. Beyond the last bastion of civilization lie the dread Caves of Chaos, rumored to be filled with vile, monstrous kin, treasure, and ancient secrets! Will you brave these untamed lands in search of gold and glory? In this fast-paced two hour session, you'll learn how to play D&D 5th edition while playing! Everything you need will be provided for play... all you need to do to begin is choose your hero and decide whether to travel by road or through the wilderness.

You'll need an introduction including your name and that you're joining to play a one shot with Grendy via startplaying.games. Everything else will be provided!

How Grendy creates a safe table
Your comfort is of utmost concern to me. To that end, I make use of the Monte Cook Consent in gaming form. This is optional, but you can use it if you have any concerns about content to let me know what is sensitive for you. For the most part, the scenario we will be playing is just classic pulpy heroism, but if something makes you uncomfortable let me know before game and I'll exclude anything harmful. If anything comes up that you didn't expect during game, we can use the safety cards in game - yellow to slow down on a topic, red to fade to black and check in. The game will include a 10 minute break, but if you need to step away at any time there's a "stepping away" button that will let everyone know you're AFK. The game also includes a debriefing where we talk about stars and wishes — also known as highlights and lowlights — to ensure everyone comes down from the game easily and any concerns about future sessions can be allayed.
