About the adventure

This game takes place in the under dark in which all the players start off as prisoners taken by the Drow. How you got there and captured by the Drow can be entirely crafted by you the player. From there you must find a means to escape the Drow and the under dark. Although this is no small task. The under dark is a hardy environment and its denizens roughly shaped by it in order to survive. So as you may have guessed survival is key. You must learn how to forage and keep your wits about you in order to survive. This game is for players who love survival, mystery and horror. This game can cater to all types of experiences and is a long campaign.

About me

Hello everyone, I go by Wilks. I have spent my time since 2017 offering and running games in the DnD 5e format and have completed very long and successful campaigns such as Rime of the Frost Maiden, Out of the Abyss and Call of the Nether Deep for some examples. I love RPG's and the story telling aspect of them and I enjoy engaging with my players and ensuring that they have the best time possible that I can give. As for me I am a 38 year old veteran with two kids. My son that is special needs and a daughter. I am also married as well to a loving wife. If there is anything more about me you would like to know, feel free to ask.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will start before the session 0. You may make a level 3 PC using all official source materials in the 5e 2014 dnd range. You will use starting gear. You will also use either standard array or point buy for PC stats. Don't feel like you have to play a certain class or race to fit a party. This is a game, and I encourage you to play what you want to play.

The current party

The party is currently at level 4: Samurai fighter Wild magic sorcerer Light domain cleric Swashbuckler rouge Fathomless warlock

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need to join my discord server, so that I may slot you into the appropriate category for your game. You will need a Roll20 account. From there you will need to join through a link on Roll20 which I will provide.

What Wilks brings to the table

What I will provide to you the player is the best gaming experience that I can possible give to you. My style is that of a 50-50 mix of roleplay and combat. Although the more you interact with me as the gm the more you will get out of the game experience you have each and every session.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules that I have are as such. If you PC goes to 0 hit points you may roll a flat d20. On a DC of 15 or higher your PC may take one last action before falling unconscious. I call this the last stand action Drinking potions or switching weapons will count as bonus actions. I don't penalize PC's for rolling natural 1's. Spellcasters don’t need to prepare spells. If you know the spell you can use it as long as you have the spell slots to do so.

Safety

How Wilks creates a safe table

In my session 0 I will go over my expectations for the players and discuss the setting and theme for the game the players will take part in. Before the session 0 I will talk with through message or through voice chat to go over what they may or may not be comfortable when they go to play the game. During the session 0 I will express that I do have an open door policy that each and ever player can come to me in confidence over any concern they may have when taking part in the game.
