Joss keeps things moving with sharp focus and zero hemming and hawing, so we’re always actively playing rather than waiting for something to happen in his impressively rich and detailed world. The scenarios pull you in, the NPCs all have real character, and even during roleplay exchanges when a few of us get carried away, he will notice the quiet players and do what he can to draw them in.
