Those who would be Kings. A lord's tale of the Stolen Lands.
The Stolen Lands is a region untamed and beholden to brigands and monsters. You are far from the first to try and claim it, but perhaps last to try.

About the adventure
Welcome one and all, to the Stolen Lands. A territory nestled between other nations but never fully claimed by any. You are adventurers sent to reclaim this horrid place not just for those who sponsored you, but also to rid the territory of those who once exploited it under the charter and authority of Restov and establish oneself as count or countess of the Stolen Lands. To claim a stake in this land, one must be cunning and clever, or perhaps so resolute in one's faith that they may stand the tests that lie ahead of them. But most of all, one must without a doubt have the conviction to rule. Lest they be crushed by what awaits them in the future. "Those who would be Kings. A Lord's tale of the stolen lands" is an adventure translated into Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition(2014) from Pathfinder first edition, some of you may recognize its title as Kingmaker, a Pathfinder adventure. The game is centered around your task to reclaim the Stolen Lands and tame it into a grand dutchy and eventually, a kingdom all to oneself. It is imperative to work together with those around you to find success, lest the only thing you discover is an early grave and an unfulfilled destiny. Some may consider it fate that you come here, others are merely trying to escape their past. Needless to say, each telling of this tale is never the same. Some claim this territory only to fall like sand castles before the waves while others stand resolute like stone just for it to buckle and break beneath them... it is nearly impossible to survive as a kingdom here; every turn and action has its consequences. Each supporter only a feyish whisper away from treachery. Now to the narrator of this tale, he is a pernicious sort who uses words to tease and trick. The lord of dice is the watcher and teller of this tale, but he is neither friend nor foe. He weaves tales of intrigue with the bearings of ones past winding back to the present with one's own storybook paving way to destruction or salvation. However, do not be weary of confiding in the narrator your woes, for the spotlight falls on those who choose to take center stage for good or ill. All is but entertainment to those whom the tale is told.

About me
Hello! I am Thomas. I have been running D&D campaigns and other systems of TTRPG's like FFG's Warhammer 40k RPG's since 2015 and have developed my own setting guide called 'the World of Hundar'. I enjoy creating new worlds and systems within them with my players having a hand in the creation of the setting as well. I am a firm believer that TTRPG's are a collaborative effort for all players and GM's involved and that one should always try to involve the players in the creation of the story to some degree. I specialize in creating stories tailored to the desires of the players. More combat, more intrigue, more story. Things like that

Creating your character
Welcome one and all! Character creation will be handled during session zero, but the players are encouraged to discuss their backstories with the Dungeon master and the other players so that they can work to enhance the story with one another and to minimize friction that causes disruptions or to clarify rules or misunderstandings. Stats will be rolled using the standard 4d6 drop the lowest system, players are allowed to mulligan their characteristics but must use the most recent or one set of rolls of their choice. They are permitted one reroll for their characteristics during character creation. All players are permitted a single starting feat. The following books are permitted for character creation: Players Handbook Xanathars guide to everything Tasha's cauldron of everything Mordenkainen presents: monsters of the multiverse Strixhaven, curriculum of chaos. The spell silvery barbs is not permitted and the backgrounds from the book are not permitted either.

What Thomas brings to the table
As a GM I will provide a grand tale of adventure; there will be peril and fun in equal measure. Combat and rule of cool are at the forefront of many campaigns I run with this campaign in particular including the added spice of kingdom making and political intrigue. I often give voices and dramatic prose to characters and thrive on the chaos that players are wont to bring to the table. I intend to bring a great time to those who play and a difficult to forget story of adventure. May we all join this table in good faith and in good fun!

How Thomas creates a safe table
Greetings. Within this campaign it is recognized that there are some sections of content that people may find disturbing or graphic. To ward against trauma or fears that players may have. To combat and prevent this, we will be using safety cards, fade to black segments for players uncomfortable with the content being presented, and discussing any potential issues that players may have during session 0. May we all have a good and safe time within this fictional and fantastical tale, and leave real life at the doorway.
