About the adventure
Something happened to you—something you still can’t fully explain. A moment of fear, loss, or shock tore a hole in the world just wide enough for you to glimpse what most people never see. Since then, the shadows feel heavier. The silence in the woods lasts a little too long. And the stories you once dismissed as superstition no longer feel like stories at all. You are entering the Mythic North, a nineteenth-century Scandinavia where the old ways linger in the spaces modern life has yet to reach. People whisper about strange lights across the fields, figures watching from treelines, and traditions that must never be broken. You know now that these warnings were not meant for children—they were meant for you. You carry the Sight, the ability to see vaesen of myth and lore. With it comes responsibility to investigate mysteries that involve unexplained situations. When something disturbs the balance, you will be the one asked to face it. The unseen is waiting. What to expect: 🔹 A mix of premade mysteries and custom mysteries based on character backstories 🔹 A customizable home base that you can level up and gain benefits from 🔹 19th century inspired feel of alternative world Scandinavia 🔹 Story driven plot with character development implemented Never played Vaesen? Do not worry, this game is open for all. The system is easy to learn and easy to play.

About me
My name is Erick. I have played Tabletop RPGS for 30 years now. If you ever told me that I could get paid to play TTRPGs I would have thought you were joking. But here I am today. The CEO of StartPlaying asked me join StartPlaying during beta just before the pandemic. When the pandemic lifted I went back to running in-person games at game rooms where I live. I now back on StartPlaying to open up to online games again. I have run games for events, conventions and Adventure League helping people learn and understand TTRPGs for the first time. And for the advanced players, I have offered challenging and intriguing memorable stories. I have traveled the world as a travel photographer connecting with people and telling their stories. Now it is time to create our own stories together. Let us sit down with a group of friends, roll some dice and tell a story together.

Safety
How Erick creates a safe table
This is a horror based game. There are a lot of possible triggers based on what the players backstories and the mysteries that come up. It is best that we focus on what people's lines are rather than list every possible trauma. To do this we will use the Deck of Player Safety which allows people to anonymously state their lines. This will be done during our session 0. We will also implement using the X card system that will allow players to stop a scene that they do not feel comfortable with. After each game we will leave the game open for any discussion. I will also be available for anytime you need to talk about the session.
