About the adventure
"The Road to hell is paved with good intentions. The road to Baldur's Gate is not even paved... someone must have pocketed the gold." Make your mark in the tale of two cities: Elturel and Baldur's Gate. š„- The holy city of Elturel is overtaken by hellish forces ā and Baldur's Gate may be next! šŖ- Mysterious murders decimate the weak and vulnerable. š- The forces of Hell triumph unless you put a stop to their plans! In this adventure, you can expect to: š„Leave your mark on the eternal struggle between good and evil. š„Investigate murders and evil cults in the two of the most iconic cities of the Forgotten Realms! š„Stop the workings of corrupt nobility and Cultists! š„Stand up ā for yourself, for what is right, or for others, or all shall perish! We will be using DnD 2024 rules for this game. The campaign goes from levels 3 to 15 taking between 55 to 65 weekly sessions to conclude. This means it's an extensive campaign that takes over a year of weekly sessions to be concluded. I have modified, enhanced and added a lot of elements to this module using the Alexandrian Remix as well as other sources and homebrew content! Making it the most epic adventure I have ever ran!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Take a sneak peek at my games with this highlight compilation: https://youtu.be/JGthJQk8gVo I have been GMing since I was 14 years old. Me and my friends pooled some money to buy the Player's Handbook for D&D 3.0. Someone had to GM, I seemed to be the most excited about the game so I volunteered. The rest is history. Over the course of this twenty-something-year journey, I have played not only D&D, but other game systems like World of Darkness (Vampire), DCC, Pathfinder and, more recently, Five Torches Deep and Cypher System. Throughout the years, I have gained extensive experience conducting games both face-to-face and online, learning to adapt on the fly to the playersā ideas. I have learned to use a variety of techniques to create a sense of full immersion through storytelling. I have mastered the art of creating challenging tactical combat that will make you sweat. Overall, I believe in delivering all aspects of the game with balance and excellence. My preference lies within dark fantasy genre and roleplay-heavy games, often with faction-based conflicts and mystery plots, as well as Old-School style games. Official modules, third party campaigns or custom games ā I can do it all. If you are interested in a game that I donāt currently have listed, please feel free to reach out to me and let me know what you would like to play. I always look forward to meeting new players and creating amazing, epic moments and stories we will never forget. At the end of the day, thatās what Tabletop RPGs are all about!

Homebrew rules
Overall guidelines: I try to keep house-rules minimum, or they are redundant, and we forget them. Usually I have a maximum of 3. After that, if I feel like introducing a new one, I have to remove an existing one. I usually don't introduce house-rules without talking to the group about it. 1 - Lingering Death Save failures All failed Death Saving throws carry over until a Long rest is completed. In addition, whenever a PC gets up from 0HP, they gain a failed Death Saving throw. If a character has 3 Death Saving throw failures and goes down to zero hit points, they are dead. Additionally, during a short rest, a PC can choose to spend 1 Hit Dice or more to remove a failed Death Save. 2 - Heroic short rest: The first Short Rest of the day only takes 10 minutes instead of 1 hour. Short rests are Limited to two per day. 3 - Legendary Resistance Punishment: Whenever a creature uses their Legendary resistance, the effort spent causes them to take 5 damage per spell level. If it's an ability or class feature, they take 15-20 damage (GM decides). This bypasses all resistances and immunities. The GM will describe how this happens narratively.

How Carlos creates a safe table
Players can expect a dark fantasy adventure, with plenty of exploration and focus on narrative. A good balance between Exploration, RP and combat. Themes involve: cults, religions (fantasy), dark rites, murder, conspiracies, hell, demons and devils, profane iconography and magic, evil creatures, corruption, celestials, sin, forgiveness, redemption. I do my best to ensure that none of these topics are overly gratuitous in their presentation or needlessly gruesome in detail. The purpose of tabletop roleplaying games is to have fun experiencing a unique adventure and story together as a collaborative storytelling experience. We will be doing a session zero before beginning the adventure, and I can easily modify descriptions or scenarios as appropriate to avoid content that the party might be uncomfortable with. While this is an official D&D module is HIGHLY customized. I am using several sources of material from the web, some free, others acquired at the DM's guild. I have heavily incremented the module, including completely re-writing major parts of the story and background surrounding it so it would make better sense. While I maintain character names, art and locations, almost all of it has been re-purposed. There will be high-quality maps in the VTT (made on Dungeondraft) which are not featured in the original book at all, as well as several from the book but with better, more elaborate art. I have also bought many side-content related to this campaign in the form of PDFs and additional maps, so I am able to fill out certain parts of the game and provide options to various types of players. The modified content features additional magic items as well as extra backgrounds, beyond the ones in the original module book. This is a HEAVILY ENHANCED experience of the Descent into Avernus module, which I considered to be necessary for this book to be enjoyable.
