About the adventure

Welcome to my Lustria: Blood & Gold game! - What Kind of Game Is This? You are a mercenary who is part of a Temple Raiding expedition to Lustria. Lot's of Jungle Survival, Jungle Exploration, Expedition Strategy/Planning and very intense Jungle Combat. Very deadly. You will die. Probably of a tropical disease. - What is Lustria? A continent across the Seas from the Old World. Infested with all manners of horrors from Lizardmen, Skaven, Zombie Pirates and Tropical Diseases...also full of Gold though... - What is playing this game going to be like? Basically you are a squad of Mercenaries that is part of a larger expedition force that has gone from Salzenmund to Lustria to raid Lizardmen Temples. Whilst you are a part of this larger expedition, you will go off exploring and pursuing your own objectives. There is the larger story of The Expedition at play, as well as your own Squad's. So I would say 1/3 of the game is roleplay, 1/3 is jungle survival, 1/3 is jungle combat. - What happens in each session? You will try to raid Lizardmen temples, take their gold. Try to survive the oppressive environment that is the Lustrian Jungle. Many other strange personal stories amongst the Mercenaries will overwhelm you with my overplotting. It is a brutal campaign. - What kind of WFRP game do you run? I strongly encourage roleplay amongst the party. Running WFRP NPCs is a particular strength of mine. WFRP4e is a crazy system with so many alternative rules, optional rules and homebrews, try to read the list below to see what I am using. I reserve the right to rule on anything. Play the game in the spirit of WFRP and you will be fine. - What kind of table etiquette do you expect? Please just come to enjoy a really cool, really unique campaign. The game is open to anyone, even if you have no idea what Warhammer Fantasy is. Don't come to my table and try talk about how much lore you know. It's rather boring. Also, no rules lawyers. We will play the game in the spirit it is meant to be played in. If you miss 3 sessions in a row I will remove you from the campaign. I want consistent players who can commit and will pay attention to the story. - Will my character die? Yes. I guarentee yes. But when you die, you will make a new character - another mercenary on the expedition. - How long will the campaign go for? I start out with 10 sessions. If it turns out to be a really healthy group, we will add another 10 sessions after that and continue doing so until the campaign comes its end. Think of it like an indefinite 10 sessions renewable contract. - What happens if I have an emergency and can't make a session? Don't worry I will not charge you or I will refund you if you have to leave mid-session. That's why I recruit a large group to start, so we will never have attendance issues. If somebody suddenly can't make it, we can still play. - How long is a session? 4 Hours. A break at 2 hours. Sometimes we will end earlier at 3 hours. But plan for 4 hours.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will make characters with a starting boost of 250xp flat rate. You do not need to roll your characters, simply make them and ignore all starting xp bonuses. You will be given an initial 250xp to spend. You will make a backup character every time you make a new character. Because you will die. Starting trappings will be negotiated between player and GM.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You need to be able to communicate via the Discord server, for both the In-Game voice chat and also for preparing to play the game. Please ensure you have a good quality microphone, if your microphone feed is poor quality I will remove you from the game. The game is also hosted on Foundry VTT via The Forge, so you need a free Forge account to play.

We take a break at the 2 hour mark each session. I have two hard lines that I run in all my games: 1) No Explicit Sexual Content 2) No Child Harm Themes
